9000 blower30 May 2008 08:36 GMT5
The ventilator blower on my 1993 9000 has now given up. No, it's not the
fuse, it happened gradually over a week or so with changing speeds and noises.
Summertime is manageable because I can open the windows a little, but I will
need the demister/defroster in autumn/winter. What are ...

my 1985 Saab 900s during the winter was making a loud squeal from one of the
fan belts.  I tried spraying with belt ease and problem did not go away.
also the breaks were grinding.  I parked it for awhile and drove our
mini-van.  finally I had my local Saab guy look at it.  $800 ...

1992 Lucas-powered LPT car.
I have an installer garage and supply about 20 yards up the road, so I

Advice wanted for turbo engine into 1976 SAAB 99.15 May 2008 08:09 GMT2
I have a 1976 model year 99 GL, and am seriously considering putting a
more powerful engine in it, doing all the work myself since I am
currently unemployed. I have more than once replaced engines, brake
discs/calipers and drive joints of non-SAAB cars (jackshaft/driveshaft

New tires for a 2002 Saab 9-3 SE10 May 2008 08:24 GMT6
I am in the market for new tires on my 2002 Saab 9-3 SE because the
Yokohama Avid's have developed a slight ripple on the outer edges
which causes a loud noise as I drive. The service reps at my dealer
said this was caused because they are directional tires and the way

SID repair.. oh yes09 May 2008 17:11 GMT4
I bit the bullet and extracted the decaying SID and used a biro to
press the contacts of the ribbon to the PCB. A little better but not
much.
On eBay there are some offers to fix these pesky SIDs. I'm near
Why is the supply of E85 fuel so tightly controlled?09 May 2008 02:37 GMT17
Last night I met up with the person who has the very first 2008-built MY08
Saab 9-3 BioPower car sold in Australia. That car has the capability to run
on ethanol blend fuels up to 85 percent ethanol (aka E85), however I was
very amazed when he was telling about how E85 can't be ...
2001 9-5 air distribution stepper motor04 May 2008 19:03 GMT1
My 2001 9-5 Aero refused to push air out of the upper vents (the ones
you would use for A/C) the other day. I fooled with the buttons for a
while and it started to come out and was OK.
Today, nothing would work and even setting on the lowest temp (LO), the

1993 900S turbo convertible (USA)
Simple question, but complicated lead-in, so that you may understand
where I have been. Let me open by saying that I am electrical engineer.
I have had 3 Saab 900's, all of the same vintage. Only the one above is
900NG Distributor Question03 May 2008 22:44 GMT1
