Does anyone know which OBD-II protocol do the 2002 - 2006 Saab 9-5 use? I
think there are about 2 -3 protocols out there and I also know that the Saab
9-3's (all)  and 9-7 have the CAN protocol but not sure about the 9-5.

The squealing and a screaming has got to to stop!  My non working clutch
started working again and has been ok for the last couple of months -
except, of course, the sound of the death throes of the release bearing.
Now, can I change the release bearing without removing the clutch?  ...

My mechanic says they're all connected and the repair is $1200 of course. I
can live without the ABS/TCS but NOT AC with summer on the way. Is there a
way to turn on the AC cheaply? I'm wondering if the TCS off switch I had
installed has gone bad.

How do I change automatic gearbox oil in a 2002 Saab 9-5? Is it
sufficient to remove the oil through the transmission drain plug or are

Our previous Saab had side skirts and I'm wondering about fitting some on
our 2001 93 convertible. Can anyone tell me how hard they are to fit - is it
a straightforward DIY job or should I get the paint shop to fit them once
