Missfiring SL1 (97)22 Jun 2004 16:24 GMT3
If nothing else they sure have character.  I have been struggling with
a miss fire for several weeks now.  I had some luck when I replaced
the plug wires and used the "recommended" plugs but that only lasted 3
months (last winter).  Now I put the bosch platinum plugs back in.
Oil change22 Jun 2004 13:52 GMT11
I've had my new Vue 2 weeks and have skimmed thru the manual a couple times.
I did not see a recommended oil change interval.  All I found was a
recommendation to change oil within 600 miles after the oil change lite
comes on.  Is this the accepted  interval or does everybody go by ...
Insurance Claim?22 Jun 2004 05:03 GMT8
Anyone know how long it might take to settle an Insurance claim when it
is not your Insurance Company? If the claim in under $1000 do you think
they would settle it sooner, rather then later? Thanks!
92 SL2 DOHC failed smog test - 15mph NOx21 Jun 2004 23:29 GMT3
92 SL2 - DOHC
The only part of the California smog test it
failed was the 15mph NOx.
My reading was 901ppm with 835ppm max allowed.
Just Bought 2004 V6 AWD Vue21 Jun 2004 19:55 GMT3
I'm one of the few people left in this country that actually wanted a
station wagon!  I commute ~ 18 mi round-trip and occasionally need a vehicle
that can carry things and is fuel efficient.  I drove trucks during my early
years and owned a Bronco II and Nissan pick-up.  I was done ...
Shift Cables for Manual 5 Speed (HELP)21 Jun 2004 18:46 GMT1
I installed the shift cable but cannot figure out how the cable goes onto
the shifter. I was able to hoorup the three with the clips. How do I get
it on? Do I use a a pair of plyers or just push it on? I tried pushing it
on but it does not go on.
missing my Saturn21 Jun 2004 15:16 GMT19
My previous car was a '98 SL1 4 door, 5 speed, gold.  Now I drive a '99
Chevy Venture minivan.  I should have bought a Saturn SL1 or SL2 wagon.
Japanese cars like the Civic or Corolla might have better fit/finish but
are a lot more boring than the Saturn.  Saturns have character ...
2003 ION 3 Report21 Jun 2004 14:28 GMT1
Well,I've had mine for just over a year now, overall,I'm happy with it,it's miles of improvement over my former Ford Contour-I kept that for 7 years, but, that's no reason for something to go bad on it every 3-4 months towards the end of ownership.I'm hoping this Ion will last a ...
Transmission Service21 Jun 2004 12:50 GMT15
It is well past the time for my son's Saturn transmission to be serviced.
My Nissan guy used a process that exchanges/replaces over 90% of the fluid,
but the down side is that pan doesn't come off and the filter doesn't get
changed.  It is my understanding that conventional ...
Tire recommendation L30021 Jun 2004 04:46 GMT1
I just replaced the aging Firestone Firehawk GTA02 (215/55/16) on my
2002 L300 with a set of Dunlop SP Sport A2 tires,  same size.  I noticed
an improvement in every measurable sense.  I highly recommend these tires.

2004 VUE V6 AWD - looking for oil change help21 Jun 2004 04:25 GMT1
I have a 2004 VUE, v6, AWD.  I'd like to do my own
oil change, as I have done for all of my other vehicles,
but I haven't yet been able to find the oil filter!
I'll admit that I haven't looked real hard, but I did
Slick 50?21 Jun 2004 04:22 GMT13
158,000 miles on my '94 SL2...
Any thoughts on using an oil additive, or one of those "high mileage" oils
to help prevent oil burnoff?  How about slick 50 or DuPont's Greased
Lightning?
Saturn headliner installation21 Jun 2004 03:28 GMT1
Our '97 Saturn's headliner needs replacing.  I'm wondering if this is
something the average handy man can do or if this is something that needs to
be done by the shop so they can pay for screwing it up.  My concern is I'm
thinking it's a little tricky to get a new one in there ...
