92 DOHC SL2 engine miss 30 Dec 2004 00:31 GMT2
My 92 DOHC SL2 Saturn pulses noticeably at low speeds (higher also, but less
obvious). It's like someone is playing with the gas pedal. I've changed the
spark plug wires and plugs:  no improvement. A mechanic also suggested I
spray water on the coil packs to see if they are ...
New to Saturn28 Dec 2004 15:52 GMT7
I have recently bought a station wagon 1998 with 5 speed transmission.  (I
think 1.9L single overhead cam).  We are planning to pick this car this week
as it is going through safety inspection right now.  It has 100,000Km, Could
anyone tell me a bit more about this engine such as ...
SL1  1.9 Oil Burner28 Dec 2004 14:36 GMT3
I understand this is a common problem. Does anyone have any success dealing
with the dealer on this issue? Mine is going through a quart in 250 miles, with
only 50,000 miles on the car and impecable service records.
Thanks.
Opinions on the 2002 L100.27 Dec 2004 04:54 GMT2
Hey, I test drove a 2002 Saturn L100 the other day and was wanting any good
or bad opinions on this model. It had 64k on it for 9000, about the only bad
thing I could find was a little shake coming from the right front tire area.
Do these models have the steel timing chain or a ...
Idiotic impersonator26 Dec 2004 23:13 GMT5
I come in here to check up on whats going on and there was a flood of
post. I was wondering what was with all the stupid recipe crap and who's
ever doing this is rotating IP's with a anonymizer type program. However
those IP's keep logs of people logging on and if they want to ...
Do I stick with Saturn?26 Dec 2004 17:15 GMT25
My lease on my 2001 SL2 (33K) is almost up.  My dealer wants to place me
in a 2005 Ion2...although a long time Saturn fan, I have heard mixed
reviews about the Ion....The only non-insurance problem I have had with
my SL2 was a dead battery, though I thnik the motor is not as ...

92 SL2 5 speed, engine pulses26 Dec 2004 01:24 GMT1
My 92 DOHC SL2 Saturn pulses noticeably at low speeds (higher also, but less

spark plug wires and plugs:  no improvement. A mechanic also suggested I

Hyundi Elantra vs Saturn Ion226 Dec 2004 00:51 GMT5
Friend of mine suggested I consider an Elantra over the Ion2.   He said
it is at least as good a car, comes with a 5 yr bumper to bumper
warranty, snd has zero finance purchasing.

Cold weather - starts up, then stalls???23 Dec 2004 17:20 GMT5
Ok, so I was leaving my friend's house in Deposit, NY, the other day.
It was around -10 degrees (F!) out.  The car started right up - normally
- on the first turn.  Like any other time.  So, I rev it a little, then
let it sit a minute, then turn on the headlights, while the ...
Yet another cold car problem23 Dec 2004 16:56 GMT6

I recently got my alternator changed, perhaps two months ago, and when they
did that job they didnt replace my battery. The guy told me that he fully
95 SL2 idling rough  #2 cyl missing but firing22 Dec 2004 04:56 GMT4
I have a sohc engine and the car is idling rough and sounds like a miss at
the tailpipe and running rich. All the plugs are firing. When pulling the
plug wires off one at a time you see a noticeable difference except at the
number 2 cylinder you don't and there is a fast ticking ...
