What can I expect from a 2002 SL1?12 Feb 2005 16:50 GMT7
I just bought a 2002 SL1, 49785 miles on it, from my local Saturn dealer.
It seems to be running well (I'm not a mechanic at all).  It's a
4-cylinder, so it doesn't have that "punch" you like when merging onto a
freeway, but I can deal with that.  It's reliability I'm after.  Anyway ...
Saturn SL1 Dashboard Lights11 Feb 2005 14:34 GMT1
Can someone please tell me what is the light next to the
coolent/temperature light. I bought a Saturn SL1 97 sometime back, but
the previous owner did not provide me with the user manual.
These two lights have started blinking infrequently. Usually it is when
SL1 Wiper Control11 Feb 2005 02:16 GMT8
So this morning, my wipers decided to act up, intermittent setting 3 and 2
work fine, low speed wipes once, mist wipes once, high speed works fine,
washer doesn't work at all.
Where should a begin looking??
Looking for a Yellow Connector10 Feb 2005 14:03 GMT1
We're looking for a small (about 1.5 in x .5 in) yellow plastic
connector that is part of the clock spring.
We've heard it called : yellow 2-way connector/yellow connector/SIR
connector but we think the proper name is: Inflator Module Connector
Thanks...and Bye10 Feb 2005 13:48 GMT7
My '94 SL2 is no more.
After 167,000 mostly trouble-free miles (and no end in sight), a fellow
decided to see how his truck would look in my trunk.
Lots o' damage.
D(r)um Brake Question09 Feb 2005 03:40 GMT3
I imagine this will be a no brainer for many, but I wanted to throw it out
there.
Could somebody please list probable causes for squeaking in my rear
brakes?  Here's the situation:  Only 40k miles, and the brakes only squeak
Removing radio from 99 SL2?09 Feb 2005 00:28 GMT2
The volume adjust knob is loose.  Need to take out the radio to fix it,
don't have the shop manuals, and wonder if anyone can outline how to
get it out...
thanks
Saturn Life Times?08 Feb 2005 19:52 GMT5
I own a 2000 SL1, and a friend of mine owns a 1998.. my sister ownes a
1995 Saturn... so far we are all extremely pleased with them.   My
question is, how often have you had your Saturn break down on you?  What
have you do to it (maintance wise), etc?
Are Yakima or Thule attachments compatible with VUE rack?08 Feb 2005 17:58 GMT5
I just bought a 2004 VUE.  Before I order Saturn's roof rack crossbars,
I was wondering if Yakima or Thule attachments are compatible.  I have
a Yakima kayak rack and a Thule cargo box.
I already have some Yakima Q-Towers from the car I traded in.  I don't
Issue shifting from 1st --> 2nd when cold.07 Feb 2005 13:23 GMT12
Is this something I should be concerned about, and does anyone know what
it might be?
I have a 2000 SL1 with 30,000 miles on it.
In cold weather when I go to shift from 1st to 2nd gear I feel as though
Coolant temp sensor07 Feb 2005 02:58 GMT1
>From a relative novice:  I was replacing the coolant temperature sensor
(we don't have a Saturn dealer in town, so I picked one up from
Autozone -- about $9, brass construction) in my '98 SL2 this morning.
I was warned not to overtighten it, so I tried not to crank it down too
Experience with 6thplanet ?05 Feb 2005 18:57 GMT4
Looking at buying a replacement engine at 6thplanetusedparts.com for a '96
SL2 with coolant in the oil....siezed engine.
Prices and warranty seem reasonable.  The folks there seem great to work
with.
Which engine has better reliability? 1.9 SOHC or 1.9 DOHC?05 Feb 2005 16:41 GMT11
I recently was looking at a Saturn SC2 and the dealer told me that in
his opinion the 1.9 DOHC is more reliable.  Is that true?  I know in the
history of GM, most of their DOHC engines are crap so I was wondering if
he was just telling me that to get me to buy the car.  For ...
Oil Change Light- 2004 VUE05 Feb 2005 16:41 GMT19
Just curious to see how far any of you have gone before the change oil light
has come on.  I'm at 5,800 miles now...
