I just took our '00 Saturn wagon in to my local mechanic, 'add coolant'
light was on,
a little antifreeze on the garage floor. He put it up on the hoist & said

Per previous post, I've been having some intermittant electrical problems.
In short: it starts and runs well most of the time.  Sometimes after it
starts, the lights dim, the gauges quit, and the aftermarket CD player/radio

The SES light is on and I get transmission code 25, No TCC
I don't get a TCC lockup under any condition, The fuse is OK, Fluid level OK
Is there anything else I can check myself?  The car has 134,000 miles and

and oxygen sensor, and added a quart of oil... 10w-40 (usually calls for

I liked my Saturn better this morning than this afternoon...  When the
thing played FORD!  I've never seen anything like this before on any
vehicle I've ever had over the years since the early 70's.
I've had cars play dead before, but not with the cause this one had.

I'm going to replace the tie rod ends myself and possibly the balljoints.
I've done it on a ford but I've never done it on a Saturn.

I just had Joey ship a low mileage engine to my sister for her '96 SL2.
Saved them about $700 compared to what the shop wanted to pull one from a
junk yard and install it.
They were a *little* slow shipping the engine, but I just got word from my

Hi, I recently have my 96 Saturn(80k mileage) changed oil in Firestone.
And they did a free check on it, the report recommends:
1. 755K5 Poly-rib belt, remove/replace, Part cost $31.99, Labor $50
2. Gaskets, VS50218 Valve Cover Gaskets Set, Part cost $64.24, Labor

They were supposed to change the pads and turn the front rotors.

I have a 95 SC1 (SOHC) with a severed line on the vacuum harness.
It's the line that goes to the throttle idle control, so I get wild
throttle behavior at idle.
On this engine, there is one other line for this harness that is used
