Saturn vs Pontiac05 Apr 2005 02:22 GMT16
Just a fun topic: We have a few Pontiac Grand Ams and GP's on our lot, and
quite frankly I am impressed with them. There are many features that are
similar to the ION inside. I like the ION steering better though and had a
good laugh when I learned that the GT GrandAM V6 w/ "ram ...
Struts04 Apr 2005 22:17 GMT6
Ok.. I have a question about struts.. I had the oil changed in my 96 SL2 and
the tech told that the struts where shot and needed to be replaced.. He said
that the rear ones were so bad that they were "Shredding my tires".. I
looked at the tires when I got home and I didn't see ...
Flush Radiator - Opinions04 Apr 2005 17:00 GMT7
What is the general consensus on flushing a radiator using your garden hose?
First, I know that you can't dump the coolant itself, but is it okay if
residual coolant is washed out on the ground while flushing (I'm in MN BTW,
if anyone knows)?
Mods for better gas mileage04 Apr 2005 15:47 GMT17
There's plenty of stuff to get more horsepower out there.  What is
there to improve the gas mileage for an Ion or SL2?  Do any real
products actually exist?

Record04 Apr 2005 11:48 GMT5
This weekend I fit 8 people into my Saturn Ion coup. I would not have
believed it if i didn't see it. Granted I am not recommending that
anyone tries this but still, pretty amazing...

S series front wheel bearings03 Apr 2005 21:15 GMT2
My wife has just emailed me about a noisy wheel bearing.
She reported whirring noise she described as persistent, related to
acceleration, deceleration, but not when idling.  I assume she means the
noise continues at steady highway speed.but quiet when not in motion.  I
SC1 stalling/starting problems03 Apr 2005 02:44 GMT2
I've read a couple other postings with similar comments but I thought I
would get some opinions on my situation.  My '97 SC1 seems to occasionally
have starting and idling problems.  Most of the time (when it occurs) the
car has a bad shuddering when idling.  when you accelerate ...
98 SC2 Starting/Stalling Problem Intermittent02 Apr 2005 01:15 GMT3
We have a 98 SC2 with about 70,000 miles.
Some days it will not start.  It turns over fast, but not matter how long
you crank it it will not start.  I do not smell any gas, like it is flooded.
Mostly it will not start when it is very cold.  Like 10 degree winter night.
Ding in windshield01 Apr 2005 23:14 GMT3
Some April Fools joke, a car going the other way on a 2 lane highway kicked
up a stone which landed right in the middle of my sight line. Left a 3/4"
ding which hopefully can be repaired. At the recommendation of the garage
next door, I called 'windshield wizard' to look at it.
XM Radio01 Apr 2005 05:27 GMT14
Supposedley I hear that Saturn (& GM) will be putting XM equipped radios in
all future models. (its an available option right now). Just my 2 cents on
XM, I think its the greatest thing since CD's. After selling many cars and
setting it up for customers, I was sold on it, bought one ...
should I keep it?01 Apr 2005 05:01 GMT4
It's a '96 SL2, white with tan, exceptional condition, 89,250 miles, needs
struts and motor mounts(I think-where's the cheapest place to buy 'em?),
tires are good but starting to dry rot. Interior is perfect, exterior has a
few paint gouges. Rear windows have issues and need ...
