Hi group-
I looked at a '98 SL2 this afternoon locally, it appears to be a good
deal but I wanted to toss this your way. Car is automatic, 59K miles,
power doors/locks/sunroof, also has cruise. Problems all appear to be
Vue engine bolts?  13 Sep 2005 15:16 GMT2
Just purchased a 03 Vue.  I was looking at the engine and noticed bolt heads
that I have never seen before.  They are not torq.  They look like hex bolts
with a cut out on each flat side of the hex.  What are these called and
where do I purchase sockets for this engine?
Lights won't shut off13 Sep 2005 13:10 GMT1
1999 SL2.  My daytime running lights won't shut off when the car is
turned off.  I finally had to unplug the wiring from the lights.
Here's the odd part, when the lights were stuck on, the bright lights
indicator was illuminated on the dash, and would not turn off, even
combined sensor? SC2: "post update"11 Sep 2005 13:24 GMT3
Hello, I posted earlier about a coolant temp., coolant level, trans.
axle warning light. One sensor for all of these. Also stating that my
coolant level was not low, even in the overflow tank, the temp. of
coolant was not excessively hot (observing the coolant guage needle),

My stepdad was driving the car, timing chain busted...towed to

Power locks problem '96 SL109 Sep 2005 04:18 GMT1
Hi, I own a 96 SL1, and recently my power locks don't work anymore.
When I first bought the car (about a year and a half ago), they did not
work.  Mysteriously when I was working under the hood one time, they
decided to work.  When I hit the unlock, the drivers side door unlocks,
Kirk Kohnen's Alternator Removal Seminar09 Sep 2005 01:27 GMT8
Most of it worked for me except for the upper alternator bolt.  How the
dickens do you get to it?   I've been at it half a day.  Got everything
out except the upper alternator bolt.   And you know, you can't be a
big guy and crawl underneath a Saturn:  there's just not enough room,
'98 Saturn SC208 Sep 2005 21:06 GMT1
My Saturn has 82,654miles and until recently has not given me any problems.
This year it's been one thing after the other and due to the additon of a
new baby this year I don't have the funds right now to get a diagnostic in
order to find out exactly what's wrong -  unless I have ...
Trouble Code07 Sep 2005 14:33 GMT2
My 2000 LS1 , 79K miles, 4 cycl. turned on the check engine light today. I
borrowed a scanner and pulled the code p0440.
The report I got states that this is an Evaporative Emission Control System
Malfunction... aka the charcoal  canister. It states that this code could be
Removable roof racks?06 Sep 2005 23:48 GMT3
We have a 1998 SW2 and we're looking for a removable roof rack with
cross-bars for it. Our Saturn dealer's quoting $227.74, but it'd not
surprise me if there's something else I can get for half that that'll
do the job. However, with the other removable roof racks around, I'm
