LW300 BCM failures25 Nov 2005 19:42 GMT6
Last week, on a 600 mile trip, I began to notice that every 10 minutes or
so, the tach would drop to 0, and the SES light & service (wrench) light
would come on simultaneously for about 1-2 seconds, and then return to
normal. Over the entire trip, this happened about 20 times. ...

The Ion25 Nov 2005 01:38 GMT2
I am a proud owner of a '97 SL2.
Having seen Saturn's lineup, I am seriously not impressed.
The worse of them all is the Ion.
Moving the dash to the center, the gas cap to the right (without the locking
1994 Commemorative Edition24 Nov 2005 12:48 GMT6
I own a Pearl 1994 Commemorative Edition Saturn.  Since there are a lot
of cosmetics offered only on this specific model I have found replacement
items extremely expensive  (i.e. drivers seat, black emblems, etc)...  Does

Un-flexing the soft plastic in my Vue's front bumper23 Nov 2005 18:46 GMT7
It was bound to happen - my 16 year old son managed to run into the
back of another vehicle with my Vue. No significant damage was done,
but the center of the front bumper (or more correctly the front panel
above the real bumper and below the hood) now has a "dent." This is a
1994 Saturn SL2 DOHC 1.9 Litre with a severe Vibration in the passenger front wheel when then car is first started and cold23 Nov 2005 12:51 GMT2
Is there anyone out there that mite know what is causing this?  It has been
doing this for just for a short time and it is only when the car is Cold
and in Gear.  The weird thing is that it is even worse when the car is in
reverse, When you turn the wheel, pulling over a curb, or ...
Oil Pressure Light22 Nov 2005 15:00 GMT2
I searched the topics and didnt' find this same question.  My oil pressure
light stays on for 10-15 seconds sometimes.  Sometimes it goes off in a
"normal" amount of time.
When the light stays on there is a "ticking" coming from the engine.  As
SL2 Rotted out & fails NYS Inspection...*Sigh*22 Nov 2005 00:45 GMT13
Well, my somewhat faithful 94 SL2 is going the way of greener pastures (or
Mexico/Latin America)....
Believe it or not, the roof rotted out from the inside where it meets the
windshield, and I developed 2 long stress cracks from the roof flexing.  I
valve body assembly??21 Nov 2005 22:24 GMT3
I have the old slam in reverse problem and figured on changing the
valve body.. now saturn has changed the program and only change the
whole assembly. Does the whole assembly come with switches/solenoids or
is it just twice as much money for the heck of it???
A/C Clutch ----  Saturn 1997 SL221 Nov 2005 20:47 GMT1
The plastic cover on my A/C clutch has broken off.  The A/C still works,
but the metal plate within the clutch is exposed and makes noise when the
car is on.  Do I need to replace the entire compressor, just the clutch,
or can I replace the plastic covering?
transmission oil??21 Nov 2005 20:15 GMT9
Is there a big difference between Dextron III and Saturn Transaxle
oil?? The always say if not available use Dextron III. I need to change
the oil and filter on my son's 96 sc2 and was going to use dextron III
but if saturn transaxle is better then I'll picl some of that up..
Service Engine Soon light still on21 Nov 2005 17:44 GMT6
I've swapped out the temperature sensor, which had been fluctuating
nonsensically and caused me to flunk the emissions test, with a new one,
but the "service engine soon" light is still on.  Does it go off
automatically when everything is fixed, or do you have to switch it off
Recommend a dealer for repairs in Mass/R.I.?21 Nov 2005 17:43 GMT3
I've got a 99 SL1 that's been giving me major transmission problems
(slipping, not wanting to go into the right gear when accelerating,
high RPMs at random times, etc.) Brought it to my local mechanic who's
recommending a new transmission. Luckily, thanks to the wonder that is
Vue & Equinox...21 Nov 2005 17:08 GMT6
Just curious, but as I was driving to work this morning I pulled up next to
the Chevy Equinox and noticed that the wheel base and overall external shape
of it seemed identical to the Vue....Since they are both GM, are they both
built off the same platform?  Like I said,  I was just ...
04 V6 AWD Vue - Transaxle fluid21 Nov 2005 16:51 GMT12
Where is the dipstick for checking the transaxle fluid?   My owners
manual has a nice description on how to check the fluid level on Page 5-26
and references Page 5-12 to find the location of the dipstick.  The V6
diagram is actually on Page 5-14 but has no reference to ...
