| Mechanic killed air conditioning | 29 Jul 2006 00:33 GMT | 3 |
I was short on time, so I had a local mechanic replace my leaking radiator in my 1993 SL2. Alas, in all this heat I recently discovered that my air conditioning no longer works, and all I get through the vents is this sickly, slightly urine-like smell. Any idea to what he

| a/c clutch hub remover tool | 28 Jul 2006 23:59 GMT | 2 |
I have a '98 SL1 and the plastic part on the clutch hub broke off. I got a new clutch from Auto Zone but they didn't have a remover that fit the hub. Is there a specal one that only saturn carries or can I just order one of the kit off the internet?

| 2003 L200 Saturn Automatic - Is bottom right display light in dash for ATF? | 27 Jul 2006 04:09 GMT | 2 |
I bought a used 2003 L200 without a manual. I'm getting this display light that the meaning of doesn't just jump out at me. And has anyone had to change their transmission fluid on their own with this car? I was looking for a dipstick until I just found out on the 'net that

| Need help fast, spark plugs drenched in oil. | 26 Jul 2006 05:12 GMT | 17 |
I have a 1991 Saturn SL Sedan 1.9L DOHC. I read a similar post about this but wasn't sure. I pulled out the number 1, 2, and 3 plugs and they were covered in oil, number 1 being the worst and the number 4 cylinder being completely dry. Could this be the valve cover gasket?

| advice on accident repair | 26 Jul 2006 02:30 GMT | 2 |
I recently put my '94 SL2 (145K mi) into a ditch off a highway ramp (high speed + wet road). The bumper cover is smashed up, but otherwise the suspension and bottom of the front chassis bore the brunt of the damage.

| How Bad Before the Rings Go? | 25 Jul 2006 23:28 GMT | 8 |
How bad does the engine oil burn get before a ring goes south beyond daily use? I've oil-fouled a plug once. It burns almost a quart per 1,000 miles on average - depending on if I'm traveling or commuting in traffic, etc.

| Punishing GM for killing electric car | 25 Jul 2006 20:33 GMT | 28 |
Wouldn't be that hard. The State of California could concoct some law whose real effect would be to punish GM for its perceived perfidy. When the Governator goes, it will become politically feasible.

| 1995 SL1 - Most Miles? | 24 Jul 2006 21:35 GMT | 3 |
Clutch is getting close to "fully extended" and I expect it to slip a bit. What's the mileage record on these engines (that notoriously eat oil)? I'm at 160,000 now and expect to either drop a few thousand $ into it or rid myself of it and go for another economical small car from a ...

| 2005 Saturn ION OBD2 requirements | 23 Jul 2006 18:31 GMT | 6 |
I would like to buy an OBD2 scanner for my 2005 ION QC 2.2l. There seems to be at least four types of OBD2 (ISO 9141, J1850 PWM, J1850 VPW, and CAN). Which one do I need. The cheap scanners do not cover all of the protocols and I do not want to buy one that does not do what I ...

| Saturn Sky | 23 Jul 2006 02:56 GMT | 8 |
I first saw the Pontiac version over a year ago, at the Minneapolis Auto Show in March. This year both Pontiac and Saturn proudly displayed their versions at the auto show. I went to the Saturn dealer today to see it. They were very nice,
