FRONT END VIBRATION31 Aug 2006 02:15 GMT3
Our Saturn sl2 1995 with 190k vibrates terrible at speeds above 40mph.  The
Upper motor was replaced as well as the wishbone one.  Any suggestions.
Thanks
Extremely High Idle on 93 SL230 Aug 2006 23:46 GMT6
I have a 1993 SL2 which I bought new and now has 217K miles on it.  It
is now idling at very high speeds under some conditions.  When the
engine is warm (or hot) and the vehicle is moving, the engine will race
up to 3000 RPM when the clutch pedal is depressed.  When the vihicle
engine rebuild questions30 Aug 2006 17:01 GMT20
Am considering options with a 93 dohc that has one #3 cylinder
running 180psi. Engine has 120k and has the oil loss problems, 1
qt per 500 miles. Am planning on doing an 'in-frame' rebuild
with rings, hone, bearings, timing set, oil pump, valve job &
Hotter Plugs for 1995 SL130 Aug 2006 03:05 GMT6
I've heard some folks talk about running hotter plugs to keep them from
fouling on the SL1 engines that burn oil.  Anyone know what plug is actually
"hotter" than stock?  I stopped at the local NAPA auto parts store and they
said my stock plugs are the hottest available except ...
1994 Saturn Sl29 Aug 2006 02:47 GMT2
So my car ran fairly well until yesturday when I took the battery
connections off the battery and to the areas that they connected to one
by one and cleaned them. Upon replacing them and getting in the car, I
noticed that the car would crank, but would not turn over. I checked

a relative of mine has a satrun who says the brake pedal goes to the floor -
the repair shop says they can not replicate the problem and tells her the
abs could be fooling her - would hte mos tlikely cause be the master

2000 SL2 drivers seat24 Aug 2006 20:23 GMT2
Saturn SL2 2000- failed inspection because of loose drivers seat. The
Torx head bolts holding down the assembly are tight (had a doozy of a
time finding a Torx socket-Pep Boys thought it was a proprietary tool
from Saturn), it seems that whatever is holding the framework in the
Bad news, possible cracked head24 Aug 2006 12:58 GMT17
Took my SW2 in to Sears Auto for an oil change. After doing the job they
told me to take the car into an engine shop ASAP, because when they
pulled the dipstick out a little smoke was coming out and "that usually
means a cracked head gasket". So all the money I spent at the Saturn
2006 Saturn Performance Club Rally - photos and video24 Aug 2006 12:14 GMT1
Another annual Saturn Performance Club Rally has passed and it was a heck of
an enjoyable week (8/1/2006 - 8/5/2006).  Hard to believe this was the ninth
one too.  The week included drag racing, a driver's school on a road course,
a movie, cheering on a fellow Saturn owner at a ...

Well, back to the SL123 Aug 2006 01:24 GMT1
Had the chance to "swap" my 1995 SL1 for a 2002(?) SW2 wagon.  My SL1 has
160,000 miles, eats oil and is stick.  The SW2 is auto, doesn't eat oil and
has less than 60,000 on it.  It is also in perfect condition.  Cost to swap
for me would have been $0.  However, I just "returned" ...
96 SL2 Maintenance Question22 Aug 2006 03:27 GMT5
I have a low mileage 96 Saturn SL2 (23,000 miles).  The belt(s) and hoses
have never been replaced.  I recently read a "Click and Clack" column about
low mileage cars and they suggested that belts and hoses are some of the
items on low mileage that need to be replaced due to ...
Best tires to buy for SW222 Aug 2006 01:12 GMT23
About a year or so ago I read a thread on here that mentioned a tire
that some drivers wanted to buy for their Saturns. Seemed the consensus
was that brand was the best and helped make for a real smooth ride.
Considering how low my SW2 sits I'd like to get tires that would help
Replacing speakers on 96 SL20 Aug 2006 17:12 GMT3
Ok seriously, this is just a vent.
Could there be a worse way to design the door panels???
I also have a civic, the speaker covers just come right off, and then
snap back in, no need to take the whole darn door arpart to put in
Saturn vs Honda Civic Drag Race on TV19 Aug 2006 21:11 GMT6
OK - Its petty clear shy rear-wheel drive cars have wheelie bars.
But to me, wheelie bars trailing behind a front wheel drive car just
looks too stupid!
Comments?  I just dont get it!
