2000 Saturn intermittent fuel flow problem?31 Jan 2007 19:42 GMT1
2000 Saturn Wagon SW2, car has 170K on it, engine replaced at 50k so a
little newer, stick, basic model (no cruise etc).  Car is new to me
but used.  Prepurchase inspection by 2 different mechanics turned up a
similar list of small problems but nothing with the fuel system.
L300 hose clamps31 Jan 2007 17:02 GMT3
I finally got arround to fixing the leaking joint on the heater core of my
'01 LW300.
Found that the joints are all O-Ring seals with a plastic retainer clamp
holding the joint together. The clamp holds the swaged flange on the core
97 sl2 drop in mpg31 Jan 2007 00:31 GMT7
my 97 sl2 has ran great and I just hit the 160k miles. I use to get
27mpg in the city and 35 to 37mpg on the hiway but recently something
has changed. My mpg is now about 24-25mpg on the hiway and 20 in the
city. Pu new plugs in as normal (twice a year) but that didn't seem to

Checking motor mounts30 Jan 2007 13:19 GMT2
I should know this, but I need a refresher. My '02 SC2 , 58K mi is starting
to show signs of very slight vibrations when at idle. How do I inspect the
top motor mount, what do I look for? I had it replaced in 2004, whats the
replacement interval? TIA.

Saturn Relay overstarting21 Jan 2007 17:08 GMT1
Our 2005 saturn relay keeps trying to start after it is already running.
Sometimes it then quits and you have to try to start again.  We have
talked to the service dept. they say saturn knows about it and that it
happens in all of them and they will eventually come up with a fix ...
SPS spark plug wires and Bosch Platinum +421 Jan 2007 14:46 GMT9
I installed SPS performance spark plug wires and Bosch Platinum +4
plugs about 20K miles ago. Everything seems to be working fine, but I
realized recently that I never checked whether or not the plugs and
wires were resistively matched. Also, I'm fairly sure that the plug gap
95 Saturn SL1 question19 Jan 2007 21:09 GMT2
Got a 95 SL1 - 1.9 SOHC.  My problem is when you rev it up the rpm's float down.  This is especially
annoying when driving because when you shift (5 speed), if you don't let the rpm's drop before
letting the clutch out between gears the car lunges forward. There's no engine light ...

First, I know this is a long post sorry. Thank you for taking the time
to read it and give advice.

Timing belt inspection17 Jan 2007 18:30 GMT5
I've got about 110K miles on the original timing chain. Is there a
relatively trivial way to inspect the chain, or to diagnose it for
wear? Judging from the Chilton repair manual, opening up the engine and
doing a visual inspection is quite an involved procedure, especially
Sheesh what happened to Saturn?17 Jan 2007 00:19 GMT19
So I went to buy a new Saturn. Based on my previous experience with Saturn I
was expecting a pleasant, straight forward, purchasing experience. You
know, all the things I used to associate with Saturn, priority on customer
satisfaction, no hassle pricing, everybody pays MSRP etc.
Noise from front driver's side wheel or tire when braking...16 Jan 2007 15:25 GMT2
A few weeks ago my '99 SL2 started making a disturbing noise. When I am
braking to stop, I'm getting a noise that from what I can tell seems to
be coming from the front driver's side wheel or tire. It is difficult
for me to describe the sound in words: I'd like to say it's sort of a
1999 SL2 rear brakes14 Jan 2007 18:42 GMT5
I have an '99 SL2 and need to replace the rear brakes (I've already
replaced the front disc brakes).  I have seen a rear drum brake model
in a classroom setting and have a spring tool, but I have not worked on
an actual car (i.e., there was no parking brake on the classroom setup,
