| 10 W 30 instead of 5 - should I care? | 13 May 2007 10:57 GMT | 8 |
The kids at our local Pennzoil oil change place just out 10 W 30 in my excellent '96 SW2 wagon instead of the 5 W 30 I requested, should I care? The car is routinely used for city and highway driving, and of course the weather's nice and warm outside these days. I currently burn ...

| Engine temp problem | 13 May 2007 00:26 GMT | 2 |
I have a '96 SL with 155K. Sometimes the engine temp guage reads full cold and the engine idles high when I've driven long enough that it should be up to normal temp. Then all of a sudden, it will jump up to normal operating temp. Then it may or may not go cold again.

| Merky Coolant, Low. | 12 May 2007 02:27 GMT | 3 |
Over the past winter if any of you may have read, I had my water pump go out and had that reserviced [after it dumped quite a bit of coolant I may add]. This winter I had a lot of moisture in my oil, and my oil cap had a weird jell film that looked like cold grease from burgers ...

| Smithhaven Saturn, Long Island... | 11 May 2007 16:55 GMT | 7 |
Hey there to my fellow LI Saturn owners... I was wondering if anyone who lives in the Smithtown/St. James area can let me know/post here when that dealership opens? I live in Yaphank and need to get into the dealer for some warranty work, but refuse to drive to

| what type of code reader for a '96 SW2? | 09 May 2007 12:09 GMT | 3 |
I'm finding cheap code readers online, and am considering buying one for my '96 dual cam SW2 wagon. But info is hard to come by online so far, so I could use recommendations. Do I need this OBD II standard, or what? Are there models I could use while driving? (I don't even ...

| Saturnland, Wisconsin | 09 May 2007 03:48 GMT | 5 |
Am I alone here, but I feel like the Chippewa Valley must have something going with its Saturn dealer. No where else I've traveled nor lived has this many Saturn's on the road. You can pass 50 or more UNIQUE ones - old Ions, SC2's, SL1's, etc. just driving to Wal-Mart, work, to ...

| 95 SC2 reving issues. | 09 May 2007 03:42 GMT | 3 |
Okay, this problem takes a bit of explaining. When it's cold outside, my 5spd manual likes to rev up on it's own. the colder it is, the worse the problem gets. At it's worst, it's rev'ed itself up to 3800 rpm, while in neutral. When it gets that bad, it also accelerates on

| On ABS, TC and SCCA | 09 May 2007 03:23 GMT | 2 |
Anyone care to add to this confusing debate that I have been having with my co-workers? Some ppl I talk to say that if you know how to drive, these are nice "piece of mind" safety features and not really necessary. Some say that under slippery conditions that ABS will actually ...

| RPM drops to 500 | 08 May 2007 23:25 GMT | 1 |
I have a 95 SL2 and had no major problems till now. After idling with having the a/c on, the engine dies and also while slowing down the speed I've noticed that the rpm drops almost to around 500. Is there anyone that can explain why this is happening..

| Spare Tire - $238 | 08 May 2007 22:44 GMT | 4 |
My 2000 SL1 spare shredded somehow; I guess due to the Florida heat. I called Saturn and was told it was $238 just for the tire itself. Are there any other sources for this tire besides cruising junkyards?

| Knock Sensor Installed but now more trouble | 08 May 2007 21:50 GMT | 5 |
I recently had a knock sensor installed after my 94 SW2 with 100K miles on the motor/trans indicated the knock sensor was bad via the code reader and the symptoms were high rpm's and low power and check engine light on. I have had this new knock sensor installed and had no

| now, service engine light always on | 07 May 2007 16:02 GMT | 1 |
Thanks, all, for the 10 W 40 advice - now, I'm trying to figure out why my 'service engine soon' light is on all the time since the oil change. I wanted to wait the 4 ignition cycles (?) before complaining, because I've had a few 'one-time' indications and it seems to turn off ...

| 94 SC1 front fender | 07 May 2007 12:05 GMT | 1 |
I am looking for a fender for my daughters 94 SC1. She blew a tire and it tore up the fender. Anyone know where I could locate one? I don't care about color at this point.
