'94 SL2 PS bypass?30 Jun 2007 19:20 GMT2
- I'm hoping someone here can give some advice on this one -- my '94
SL2 has a PS pump that is going out; from the looks of things the
pulley can be completely bypassed without affecting the belt
tensioner? I do have AC.  Can anyone who has tried this tell me what
Peanut Butter Time!30 Jun 2007 01:36 GMT5
(sorry, no jelly)
After cleanup, I noticed that the beautiful Midnight Blue ION.3 I just
purchased, the last like it on the lot had some pine tree sap marks on the
paint. The shop sent it out to be buffed, but they couldn't get all the
1993 Saturn SL1 keeps stalling29 Jun 2007 20:28 GMT2
My 1993 Saturn SL1 starts up fine when the engine is cold (like in the
morning) but stalls during the day after the car has been running and the
engine is hot. And then the car will not start.  It turns over but the
engine does not seem to be getting gas. The "check engine" light is ...
6 hours to replace a starter - LW30029 Jun 2007 09:23 GMT4
The Starter was getting a bit intermittent on my '01 LW300. It has 100K
miles on it was worth replacing the entire starter. Carquest had a rebuilt
for $155 (wholesale) with $55 core charge.
The Saturn shop manual did not allude to anything particularly difficult.
Midnight Blue28 Jun 2007 12:15 GMT4
Well here we go again, Saturn number 3. Yesterday 0% financing came out and
I traded in the 'ol SC2 for a new '07 ION.3 2.2L in Midnight Blue color w/
grey interior and 16" alloys. Went with stick this time. I kinda suck at
stick, but practice makes perfect. There is a notable ...

I am in the North Bronx.
I am looking for any local mechanics or someone who
knows how to replace a water pump on a 1997 Saturn  SL1.
I also have the top of the line OBD II auto scanner - reader and if anyone
trunk lid noisy26 Jun 2007 14:32 GMT1
Lately, my 'o2 trunk has gotten to sound like a creaky old haunted house
door when opening or closing. Obvoiusly it needs lubrication, but where and
what should I use?
SC2 still getting water logged25 Jun 2007 04:21 GMT3
The saga continues...taking my '02 SC2 back to the garage 1st thing in the
morn. Last week, I had it in and they thought they sealed up a seam where it
was leaking. The leak is evidently coming from up by the underside of the
cowl vent or nearby up high above the heater motor, ...

Coolant Flush24 Jun 2007 16:38 GMT6

although the reservior is at normal level.
Valvoline center has a $40 special but 3 blocks away Midas wants $110.
WTF?
Chevy Doesn't Sell Saturn Parts23 Jun 2007 04:13 GMT3

95 SL1 problem22 Jun 2007 22:56 GMT5
I have a 95 SL1 with 146,000 miles on it.  It usually runs good but every so often it goes into a
fit where it starts to buck and looses power, idles low and rough and doesn't want to rev up. It
throws the SES light on also. If I shut it off for a minute or so it's usually ok and ...
CHEATED? 2003 ION     $500 to replace ignition switch, part $30, $470 for labor and code reading etc22 Jun 2007 05:39 GMT6
here in Honolulu, @ the saturn dealer.......
I'm thinking i've been cheated,  granted i agreed to pay the $130 to
have saturn diagnose that i had an ignition switch code
and then they apply the $130 towards the $500 repair,  however why
Saturn Battery Light... unfortunately not as simple19 Jun 2007 15:59 GMT2
I drive a 1996 Saturn SL2. About 2 months after purchasing the car,
the battery light came on. As most would think, I took this to be a
problem with the charging system. Using a voltmeter, I checked the
voltage on the battery. 12 when off, around 13.5 when running warm.
94 SL2 Saturn Overheating problems.19 Jun 2007 03:49 GMT4
It is summer, and my car is overheating :(  Just the other day I
noticed that fluid was comming out of the cap.  I checked it, and it
seems it is broken.  I looked into the resevoir and some broken pieces
and a spring are laying in the bottom.  Okay so I know that has to be
