CANADA knows how to sue GM !!!29 Sep 2008 04:20 GMT10
http://www.ng2000.com/fw.php?tp=gm
DETROIT — General Motors Corp. has agreed to settle 17 Canadian
lawsuits that contend that a defective part in cars made between 1995
and 2003 caused engines to overheat and seize, a lawyer for the
need help with '96 SL electrical problem29 Sep 2008 04:03 GMT3
My 96 SL just started having electrical problems.  For two days in a
row, when I go out to start it in the morning it would crank once and
die.  All power zero, even the dome light out.  I got it jump started,
and drove to work, and drove home that night, all is fine.  Then the

Drove the Astra for a day26 Sep 2008 20:49 GMT6
Today I spent some time driving a new 2008 silver Astra XE automatic while
my ION is in the shop. I haven't really had the chance to open one up on the
highway or hit a corner hard in the country. I am pretty impressed with the
speed and especially the handling. of course, this ...

Oil leak after starter replaced22 Sep 2008 01:54 GMT1
Hi.  On my daughters 97 SC2 DOHC, I had her starter replaced by a shop last
week and now it is dripping oil from the same approximate location.  I
cannot get under there to see exactly, but could they be related?  Do you
need to remove the oil filter to get to the starter and ...

The holder came with 3 plastic fasteners, but I cannot figure out how to use
them.
Do I need some special tool?

GM Settles Saturn VTi lawsuit17 Sep 2008 01:42 GMT2
No, this isn't a boost to help Stevie or Mr. Fag, just posting some useful
info about the old VTi VUE and ION models.
My two cents is, I do find it ironic that other manufacturers were for the
most part able to get it right, take for instance the Nissan Murano or
Gurgling noise in 99 SL216 Sep 2008 03:46 GMT2
My 99 SL2 makes a gurgling or sloshing noise occasionally, usually under hard
acceleration or when going uphill. The noise sounds like it's coming from
under the dashboard. Coolant level is normal, as is engine temperature. Air
bubble in the heater core, maybe?

"Horrible excuse for a car!" What things have gone wrong with the car? Timing chain at 62,000 miles, along with the top end of the engine. Heater core has broken several times.
On Saturn's New Powertrains and Old Trolls14 Sep 2008 17:46 GMT1
Just a FYI to help those either stuck in the past or whom may just not be in
the know and finally, my take on Trolls:
Saturn as of 2007 no longer manufactures cars in Spring Hill, TN.
The 1.9L, 2.2L, V6 Catera or V6 Honda engines are no longer in use.
Interesting take on Ethanol and flex fuels12 Sep 2008 20:02 GMT17
I was reading in machine design magazine, an interesting editorial on why
detroit is so interested in flex fuels. Seems the MPG standards are (for
purposes of CAPE) based solely on the gasoline component of the fuel. This
is of course, an artificial number just to get past ...
