Replacing engine key
I am having a problem with my 1995 Saturn . I need to replace the key
cylinder.
Wow difficult is it ?

Has this group gone deathly quiet?  Has everybody lost interest in
Saturn?  Or is everybody on vacation?

It blasts my ears.  I know where the damn thing is -- it's behind the
front cover on the driver's side console.  But I understand that if it
is removed, some necessary functions will be lost.  All I want rid of
is the constant noise, which is to warn that the headlights are on

The  noise is coming from the passenger door and is not operation the door
lock/unlock latches on the door next to the door handle inside. It sounds
like if it were a worm drive setup that the drive is skipping up and over
the gear and grabbing it. At any rate, however it is ...
