Well in the past couple of weeks on Ebay we have seen an extremely low

Advice on long-term storage of engines?31 Jan 2004 22:28 GMT2
After many months of unsuccessfully trying to sell my NOS 232, I have
decided to keep it for a rainy day. I still have the original crate,
and it will go back there for the near future. Should I coat the bare
metal components with grease or oil? Should the engine be placed in a

This one just passed my limit - looks like the $11K offer would have
been a good one if I'd wanted it $11K worth.

Av gas in a Stude31 Jan 2004 20:04 GMT10
'Someone' is using 100 octane low lead AV gas in a Stude V8 to protect
valves and seats. He only drives a few hundred miles a year. A mechanic he
knows says the AV gas will damage his engine.
I'm going to advise him he doesn't need to use this stuff, but I don't think

Calvin-
If I remember correctly, you are from Jacksonville, Fla.  If I don't

What is it with me.  I've been sick for way too long and every time I'm get
close to getting over what is ailing me at the time. Something new and total
different crops up and keeps me home in bed and away from Work and my
projects.
Reserve lowered31 Jan 2004 04:37 GMT6
The reserve was 6K on this nice, 64 potential plain wrapper, but was
lowered, don't know by how much. I don't know how I feel about swapping
over all the V8 stuff though, it is a nice car as it sits, but.....  <g>

Charlotte Reg. Update31 Jan 2004 01:34 GMT6
I hope that this is taken in the positive vein that is intended.
The registrations for Charlotte are very good for this early in the year.
There are 311/334 attendees registered (depending on report).  The big change
from my previous post on the subject is that there are now more ...

OT: Ebay....???30 Jan 2004 19:06 GMT10
I was just wondering why sellers on eBay place items up for sale with a
"reserve" and start the initial bid below their reserve price?  Why not
start the initial bid at the minimum they are willing to sell the item for?
Am I missing something here?
