Self installing carpeting21 Jan 2004 16:09 GMT8
I just finished installing some "flex-stretch" carpeting in my 64 Commander.
Pretty easy job, and comes out very neat, and costs about $60 , including
the foot pad and dimmer switch grommet, and a can of glue...
Rather than pay $200 for carpeting from a "dealer", try contacting your ...
Turner Brake not secure?21 Jan 2004 14:17 GMT1
I thought that title would make you look. <g>
I was about to place an order on the Turner Brake website when I noticed
the little padlock was not in the bottom righthand corner of the screen.
Doesn't that mean she website is not secure? I'd rather not send my credit

Asleep at the wheel21 Jan 2004 04:33 GMT2
For all the talk about Studebaker prices, I have to add a comment.
StudeBob had tried unsuccessfully for months to peddle his 66 Wagon
project here and elsewhere with maybe 3K in NOS parts and accessories.
I've avoiding buying it so it could go to someone that wanted to build a
Newsgroup Access ?21 Jan 2004 04:30 GMT3
Today when I try to get to this newsgroup, most trys I get a message to the
effect that I am not allowed to get to this newsgroup.  If I keep trying,
eventually I get to the newsgroup.  This has only happened this afternoon.  Any
comments on this problem?

Hello--I'm on the hunt for an Avanti project, preferably a running
example, '63-'69 vintage;  any help in pointing me in the direction of
a candidate would be great--thanks in advance-

Look what happen here21 Jan 2004 02:34 GMT2
I put a 95 max bid, and thought I was going to be stuck with it. With an
hour to go some one else wanted it.

Metal working tool help needed to drill a 1.25" hole21 Jan 2004 02:05 GMT20
Howdy StudeNuts,
I need to make a 1.25 in hole in my floorpan. Eastwood sells a set of 10
metal stamps for $105 that has one of these punches. I can't remember what
they call these critters but you drill a pilot hole and put this piece in
Brakes21 Jan 2004 01:49 GMT8
I have a friend who has restored a 1950 Stude convt. He has had the brakes
gone through 3 times by a couple different shops. His problem is, if the car
sets for a day or two without being driven, he has no brakes until he pumps
the pedal 3 or 4 times. Then it will hold the rest of ...

PBW on the Speed Channel's AMX Show20 Jan 2004 20:49 GMT3
The opening shots of the half hour show about AMC's AMX  has a couple of shots
of the George Krem's 1964 Challenger, the Plain Brown Wrapper, in action at the
Pure Stock Muscle Car drags. Somebody must have stolen the car because it didn't
look like George driving.
OT,chukles20 Jan 2004 19:33 GMT1
I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered.
But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue:
"No good in a bed, but fine up against a wall".
