eBay question08 Jan 2004 18:59 GMT25
Why would a person list a vehicle and start the bidding at $100.00 and then
put in the description, "Reserve is $1000.00"?
And if a person were to read the description and see "Reserve is $1000.00",
why would he bid any less than $1000.00?

My wife drove home to South Bend last week to help care for her
terminally ill 80 year old mother, Sally. She'd suffered a few heart
attacks and the plan for open heart surgery had to be shelved because
her damaged heart was beyond repair.

I did about $2,000 of work for a client (taxable income) and he has
offered instead, a '56 MkII Continental in trade. The car is complete,
but is not running and needs a complete restoration. It was running
and driving 10 years ago, and parked in a carport, when the original

Battery Cables now Available08 Jan 2004 04:04 GMT8
I now have a full line of Studebaker Battery Cables available. I have ordered a good stock of cables
for 1942-1964 Studebaker Cars, and 1949-1964 Studebaker Trucks. These cables are of original design,
length, and cable size. I also have many "popular" lengths made in a larger ...

HELP! Anybody remember this auto-related Dateline(?) story?07 Jan 2004 12:55 GMT4
Does anyone remember seeing a story on Dateline (I think it was) about
a month ago, in which they exposed questionable new-car dealer sales
tactics by setting up a newly-minted college graduate girl to go in
and buy a new Mustang? I THINK the name of the dealership where they
