My father has a 1927 studebaker commander coupe EWQ.  It was in an
accident recently (was at the Glidden Tour) and the left rear fender was

One of the fellows on the Avanti Group said he is using this fail safe stat and was very pleased. Apparently he had a conventional stat fail and stuck closed (which, I understand, is what normally happens when a conventional stat fails).

As I was drilling out the hinge screws on another rusty door I was thinking
what a rewarding and stimulating hobby this is.  :)  When I get into
projects like this I'm reminded of my brothers comment that the worst job he
ever had was putting a track back on a bulldozer in a manure ...
