Got home a little while ago, So far all is well. The surgery was much more
involved than anticipated, the tumor was 2-3 times bigger than thought. It
was also wrapped around my main facial nerve. Making it difficult to get it
out.
Salvage yard02 Jan 2004 14:09 GMT3
In what we call the upper valley, near McAllen a salvage yard put an
Chrysler 300 up on a pole by the expressway to draw attention when it first
open  about 12 years ago.
Some time later on the other end near the expressway they put a Thunderbird

A Radio question02 Jan 2004 07:42 GMT25
Tomorrows bit of pleasure will be dropping the AC unit and swapping
radios in a quest to get good sound in the Cruiser again.  I wish I
had never pulled out the factory AM-FM and then sold it off in the
Avanti, but there was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to go through that

I see that 5 people have bid on this abused vehicle. I would prefer to think
that they want it just for useful parts to restore their own Studebakers & then
put it out of its misery. I like to give folks the benefit of a doubt-thats the
way I am.
1963 Avanti R2 Fuel Pump:  Rebuild or Replace??02 Jan 2004 01:34 GMT2
Greetings to the Studebaker Google group and the Avanti Yahoo group:
Discovered fuel leaking from the small-diameter hose that runs from
the supercharger to the fuel pump; so I assume there's a diaphragm
failure...has not been changed since about 1987 anyway.
Front anti-sway bar's02 Jan 2004 00:30 GMT9
Has anyone installed one of "T"Bones front anti sway bars on a 55 coupe?
Is it a complete kit with out any modifications?
I have a 55 Speedster, new coil springs and shocks but dives into the turns
and feels very uncomfortable.

other adjustments I have made in the business.
I have done better work, but I am tired.  <G>
If you check it out, please make note of the new phone #, the old business

If this is true, then they should be run out of the country.  Don't want to

Stupid Question of the Day, <WAAAAAAAAAAY OT>01 Jan 2004 18:26 GMT32
Just opened a box of d-CON, in which there were four smaller boxes.
Is it just me, or would anyone else here find it the least bit weird to find
maggots (some alive) in the outer box, but none in the inner boxes?  I mean,
sure, the inner boxes are sealed better, but maggots in d-CON ...
HAPPY NEW YEAR01 Jan 2004 18:26 GMT8
It's after midnight and I just want to welcome all NG'ers to 2004. Have a
happy and safe year.
Get your check books out and enter 2004 in the date area of the first 20 or
so checks. 'cause if you don't you'll be putting 2003 on some of them.
NCSDC has moved!!! (I think)01 Jan 2004 17:11 GMT2
I had to renew the domain name NCSDC.com today... as it would have run out at the end of the year.
The registrar offered a really nice package upgrade for the website, offering more space (750MB),
Perl, and SSL secure server, and unlimited e-addys. AND the price is $5/mo LESS ...

Stayed close to home this week (as the goofy snowbirds are going nuts on the
roads down here).....
