OL' Faithful had an issue.19 Oct 2004 10:59 GMT8
My '59 wagon has always been reliable as reliable can be but twice it has
crapped out on me in the last two weeks.  The first time I thought it was a
clogged fuel filter, it happened at night, in the parking lot of a parts house
as I was chasing parts, I left it there and went back ...

Hi again all.
Finally got my email to work right.  Answered all 21 of your emails and
hopefully I got things right.  Many of you are asking for a list of

Edgefield, SC car show18 Oct 2004 23:06 GMT5
Went to a car show in Strom Thurmond's hometown this morning.  Friends of
mine live there and were working the show.  Took a Top 50 trophy (I think
there were 50 cars that showed up)... Best of Show went to a Boyd Coddington
kit car.  It was nice, but I don't think it was an ...
Leatherique...?18 Oct 2004 19:55 GMT3
Has anyone tried this stuff, ( www.leatherique.com) be it on a
Speedster ( ah ha!, NOT OT!) or any other leather interior? I've
started the re-dye process on the Volvo 1800, and so far, the leather
conditioner is very impressive! I can't wait to get to re-dyeing it.
Made Nate a offer18 Oct 2004 15:24 GMT5
I made Nate a offer he may not be able to refuse. I'll buy the 64 rag
top for him, the 3K goes toward the price of me buying the 56J back.
I'll finish it, sell it on ebay and pay him the balance when it's sold.
That way he'll not be out of pocket for the convert and he'll get the ...
Stude gets best of show18 Oct 2004 14:16 GMT1
Freddy Freeman took his '63 Black R 2 four speed hardtop to the Mississippi
State Fair and took best of show.  Wish I could post a picture of it.  Black
and looks like new!  This is the second time he's won best of show.

homemade motor mount.18 Oct 2004 04:38 GMT2
busted *another* driver's side motor mount on my '62...  finally decided
the way I drive I needed something better than stock.  Took two old
motor mounts and hacksawed the washers off, and beat the studs out of
the washers.  Cut one of the rubber pieces and one washer to fit ...

I scored a very good rear window for our '53 Starlight today.  Got it from
the folks at Studebakers West in Redwood City, CA.
The next step is installing it.  I am planning to have one of the local
glass shops do it, but want to make sure they know the way that Studebaker
