So I took delivery of this '54 Commander from Bob Miles and it appears the original owner enjoyed driving and modifying this car. The car has Offenhauser aluminum valve covers, matching aluminum Offenhauser air bonnet, and an Offenhauser 4-barrel manifold with Stromberg carb.

I am having some problems with my '85 Avanti power steering. I am thinking of replacing the steering ram. I have heard for years that the pump, control valve and ram are all a Ford setup. Does anyone know exactly what it is? And were they the same for all the years of the Avanti ...
