AFB-WCFB question10 Oct 2004 18:46 GMT7
I was looking at both a WCFB intake manifold and an AFB manifold.  Other
than the bore size and the boss on the AFB version for the coil mount, they
appear to identical castings,  Is there any reason why the WCFB bore holes
can't be enlarged to AFB sizes?  This would make it ...
Last Chance on Lark Drivelinr.10 Oct 2004 16:24 GMT6
Since I don't have room to store the following, this will be the last time
that I list this complete 59 Lark drivetrain with 32000 actual miles and if
I have no takers it will go to the scrap pile.  What I have is as follows:
169.5 complete running flathead engine to include starter ...
Triva question10 Oct 2004 15:53 GMT16
What does WCFB stand for ? Bonus points for the major reason they
came out with the AFB. I just learned the answer in the new Muscle car
magazine article on AFB's.
Can anyone on the NG vouch for Bob Miles in Arizona?10 Oct 2004 15:30 GMT8
I am interested in Bob's '54 Hardtop and would like some reassurance
that he is good guy who knows Studebakers. I feel bad asking and if
you are reading this Bob I mean no disrespect. As some of you know I
bought a severly rotten '53 Commander earlier this year from a guy who
$10,000 sh#t  O.T.10 Oct 2004 15:25 GMT26
Anyone else think we are getting a little too uptight ?  Earnart gets a
10K fine and 25 NASCAR points for slipping up and saying 'sh.t' on TV.

Poor man's Avanti car cover10 Oct 2004 15:13 GMT1
Recently, my thrifty son found me a car cover for my Avanti at Ollie's (a
Pennsylvania, Maryland surplus store).  I had been looking at the $200 jobs
on the internet.  The one he found was $14.99 (plus tax).  It's very heavy
material.  The Looney Tuners theme wouldn't have been my ...

Who will be headed out to Hershey next week? I hope things have dried
out a bit around there. I expect to arrive there by either Wednesday or

For Board Members10 Oct 2004 09:00 GMT3
For Mesa, I recently sent a requested message regarding Overseas Members to
all the board members. I asked three or four of them to let me know if they got it.
No response.
If you are on the SDC board, please let me know if it got through.
Hydrovac10 Oct 2004 07:33 GMT7
Has anyone ever had this experience? I had my Hawk out today for a drive to the
store. On the way home it began to smoke. Nice gray smoke like crazy coming out
the tailpipes. I headed for home only a few blocks away. By the time I got to
street I live on I had to pump the brakes to ...
Seat ideas..?10 Oct 2004 05:09 GMT11
The front seat in this 55 Champion two-door sedan has been the source of
nests for every rodent in the state of Washington, I think.  Down to the
springs. I'd like to get a more modern front seat for my aging backside.
It's got to be able to allow access to the rear seat.  Any ...

Yesterday I made a cruise through the Hershey Car Corral and saw only a
few Studes, but one that caught my eye was one that I saw over 10 years
ago at Hershey, a White '64 R2 Superhawk with a black sport roof.  Nice
car from Jersey, some of you may know the car or the guy that ...
