Cruisematics? (OT humor)08 Oct 2004 16:38 GMT8
I'm going to an estate auction this morning where there is a so-so
1960 Corvair being offered, so I thought I'd see what they were
bringing on e-bay. Not much. Nowhere near what 1960 Larks are
bringing, so he who laughs last...

He Who Laughs Last - ON Topic!08 Oct 2004 14:20 GMT1
While doing the Corvair research yesterday, I ran across this:

It's in the last half of the auction and hasn't met reserve or even
half the BIN, which seems reasonable. How many BIN buttons ...

Drove my Studebaker today.08 Oct 2004 11:26 GMT4
It was a beautiful day here in southern Alberta today. Temperature up
to 70° or better, bright sunshine, little or no wind. Farmers out
combining up a storm; lotsa dust.
I drove the GT Hawk into Calgary, dropped off a sick gas detector to
TRANS-X  Update:  Auto tranny & PS leaks08 Oct 2004 10:50 GMT3
Just for an update.....I did add this additive to both my tranny & PS
system for leaks and bad upshifts.  This was ~1000 miles ago.  The
tranny is working beautiful...the PS valve leaks like a sieve....much
worse than before: visible dropping fluid from the end cap at gas
Spring visit to a Studebaker fan08 Oct 2004 08:14 GMT5
I was going through my mail to see what's worth saving.
I ran across this and thought that I would share it.
"Beautiful spring weekend, and he was doing the car chores -- start
everything up, run them around a bit -- so he came to pick me up at
Searched High and Low for OD part08 Oct 2004 05:27 GMT9
I just don't understand things sometimes.  I've searched high and low for an
over drive pinion cage for this T85C.  Nobody has one and the only fella
that said he thought he had one (Steve's Studebaker, Napa California wanted
over $300.00 for it.
Wagonaire headed for Paris! (Maine, that is)08 Oct 2004 04:25 GMT1
My wife wants me to drive the Wagonaire up to her high school reunion near
S. Paris, Maine since they are having a collection of old cars in their
parade.  I'll be in Hebron, actually.  So, if you see a blue Wagonaire on
I-95 north of Boston on Saturday or Sunday, that's me.  Honk, ...
Champ Truck Bed08 Oct 2004 03:07 GMT4
A friend (SDC'er) needs a bed for his Champ.  He would take a stepside

need a bearing......08 Oct 2004 02:18 GMT6
Peter's truck is in need of a propeller shaft bearing.  Part number in the book 664663,
illustrated on page 196, item 0902-12.  This is for a 1963 3/4 ton Champ, with 4spd.  Is
there a modern crossover, or does anyone have the specs for this so I can get a
replacement?
Model year change over date?08 Oct 2004 01:14 GMT3
Just received my build sheet on my '53 Champion.  It was built on 8-25-53 in
South Bend.  That seems very late in the build year to me.  Does anyone know
when the change over to the '54's would have taken place?  bs
