My Studebaker Nomad08 Oct 2004 00:17 GMT8
I had to run some errands today, so I drove my 56 Parkview to Concord (NH).
Fellow follows me and when I stop, wants to know if I'd be willing to sell
my Chevy Nomad.  I replied that I'd be more than pleased to sell a Chevy
Nomad IF I HAD ONE!  He insisted my Parkview was a Chevy, ...

C/K frames07 Oct 2004 21:12 GMT1
Does anyone have reliable information related to any strength diffences in
C/K frames.  I've heard a number of things, such as V8 cars had
different/stronger frames than 6 cylinder cars and that "the frames" were
stronger from a given year thru???  I've heard that GT frames were the

In last nights debate, the VP directed viewers to
http://factcheck.com so I checked it out. I found the other side moved
fast, they had apparently bought that domain, and posted their own . He
should have said .org, not .com It just shows how fast and loose both

Steering rod needed07 Oct 2004 06:40 GMT4
Gang, My NAPA buddy found me two tie rods that fit nicely in the holes, but
the threaded arms are like 7" long.  Unless I get left and right 5/8-18
dies to thread it further up the arms, I'll have to get a shorter rod
between the tie rods.  So I'm on the lookout for a three foot ...

Nope, I'm not as important as Lee DeLaBarre, but I'm back. FINALLY!! I had one
hell  of a computer problem. My ever so faithful computer store got my computer
back up and running again. Turns out I had several viruses on it and haven't
been able to do anything on it. After $127.00 ...

OT..way OT. Is Space Ship One an embarrassment for NASA06 Oct 2004 22:40 GMT14
From what I gather Burt Rutan and his brother, with private money developed a
reusable space craft, and turned it around in less than 10 days. I know that
