I've been a fan of War of the Worlds since forever, even since even before I knew what a Studebaker was. The book by HG Wells is wonderful, Orson Wells Mercury Theater broadcast turned me on to how wonderful old time radio is.

I am new to car restoration and I have a 1950 Champion to practice on. I would like to keep it mainly original, but be able to have things like a radio. I was told to change the wiring from 6 volt to 12 volt, the wiring is shot, and I was wondering the best way to go about it.

Has anyone ever plotted out the resistance vs. temperature curves for the water temperature gauge senders? Are they the same for all years? reason I ask is I want to know whether the late temp. sender will work with a '55 gauge.
