I am restoring a 1949 commander and have had no luck getting the
stainless molding back in around the windshield and rear window. I have
replaced the rubber and had a difficult time getting the rear window
in. Now that I have them in I can't seem to get the stainless in the
clever update08 Feb 2005 15:14 GMT11
Stumbled across this clever idea for updating your charging system.  Problem
is this fellow is really proud of his work, and it shows in the price.  If
he does one unit a day, he has a nice gig!!!!!http://gener-nator.com.  Go to
the ordering page to see the price.  Yikes!!!!!!!!
Good Studebaker Day08 Feb 2005 15:14 GMT11

Another transmission question08 Feb 2005 13:04 GMT2
I've got my transmission (a T86 with OD) about back together but ran

The minor one is I've got the low/reverse shift fork in backwards so
once again I've got to take it apart again.

When I ordered the new dash I was sorta expecting a molded piece to
New virus targets on-board car computers - sorta O.T.08 Feb 2005 06:18 GMT2
I'm taking this report with a big grain of salt, but It's amusing.
Apparently, cars with systems such as satellite navigation have been
warned to secure the devices, after reports that the on-board computers
of several Lexus models in the United States had been infected via
Studes in print08 Feb 2005 04:58 GMT2
The  library where I am doing substitute work (I know 31 years full time
teaching should have been enough, but that's another topic.) makes some extra
money by selling books and stuff to teachers through an outside vendor. I
usually by something each time, but last time was an ...

OT * Best Super Bowl Ad? * OT08 Feb 2005 03:11 GMT6
Did anyone else thoroughly enjoy the Anheuser-Busch ad depicting the
servicemen coming through the airport to the applause of everyone in
the terminal? Well done, I thought; creative and effective. 'Best
advertisement during the game. Where do we vote for best ad? Gotta' be

long as the threads aren't munged up on the top where the steering wheel
goes.

70's, drove it for a year or two and started a restoration and it's been
stored inside since 1973. The car was a 259 with AT, now a R1 ...
