SP......  Alternator Bracket02 Feb 2005 22:45 GMT23
I have a question for the NG..............
I am looking to have a bracket made that will allow you to do a
bolt-on GM alternator to a Stude engine.  It is a very small, clean
looking mount that will place the alternator in the correct postition

Do Studes rust?02 Feb 2005 19:02 GMT14
Check the ad on page 22 of the new Hemmings.  An outfit named Ridrust.com
with a "miracle" rust remover has the audacity to picture a Hawk as an
example.  Imagine!  The least they coulda done is use a Chevy Vega!

Doggone it!
About two weeks ago, I got a phone call from a canvasser, asking if I
wanted to buy tickets to a hockey game between a Red Deer law
enforcement team and a bunch of NHL old-timers.
Solid '53 Body Needed02 Feb 2005 15:01 GMT3
One of the members of our local chapter has a 1953 Commander hardtop

It turns out once Craig got into it the body shell was worse off then
expected and they are now looking for a new one that is solid to

Looks like the 25K for my restored R2 Lark was a bargain. <g>

That price is 3 times the average book for a non-Avanti powered car.
Anyone know who the high bidder is ?
Adapter kit pictures requested by Alex M02 Feb 2005 12:14 GMT2
Alex M. emailed Michael and asked him to post a picture of the aluminum
transmission adapter kit he has for the V8 Studebaker Engine.  To put
an automatic transmission in.  He put the 700R4 in the 1960 Lark
Convertible and WOW, I really enjoyed the Hot Rod Power Tour last
Radio Antenna02 Feb 2005 09:36 GMT2
During my restoration process, I misplaced the chrome pieces and the
nut that holds the radio antenna in place on my 63 GT Hawk.  It is a
fender mount antenna.  Does anyone know where to purchase these parts?
If not, is there an after market antenna that works and looks original?

How stupid do they think we are?  Look at the rifle in the picture, I saw
this on television with the sound off and the first thing I thought was "toy
rifle".

You can't be a Stude guy without smellin' 'em out...
I was working with a distributor sales rep today and was following him
through Waycross, Georgia today.
My Stude ESP kicked in and I spotted this Tcab way off the road next to a

I have an ad for my next month's newsletter.
It's to sell a 1964, 4 door, 4 speed  R1 Daytona.
Says his brother ordered it that way in Sept 1963.
There can't be very many 4 door -- 4 speeds built in 1964.
