What is the third number mean on the 2R pickups. I have seen all kind of numbers. Mine is a 2R12. And I can`t find what it stands for. There is a frame and cab only not far from me that is a 2R11. But mine is the only 2R12 i HAVE SEEN.

I'm intrigued by a rugged 3/4 ton in Salt Lake City. A do-able ride from here, and would make a great tow vehicle. Are these equipped with a 224? I understand a upgrade to a 289 crank and pistons is easily accomplished? A timken split rear???? What the Sam Hill is that? No

Straighten me out on something... When a head is shaved, the compression ratio is increased, right? However, isn't comp., lowered when you increase the size of the combustion chamber?

This beauty will be headed to Md in a week or so. BTW, the 'engine turned' disks under the widow crank were done for the conversion to manual windows. BTW, I bought the 2R truck in the background too, story to follow.
