Collectible Automobile magazine has asked me to do a feature on the

Build Your Own Chicken Hawk...14 Mar 2005 20:46 GMT4
This is exactly how the original Chicken Hawk began when Ted bought the
"core" in the fall of 1961. Yes, Ted's car was built with Automatic
Drive, still in it when he drug it home...but Ted only paid $30 for
his. (TRUE, and he's since turned down TWICE that much!)
Hard at work on an OT project.14 Mar 2005 20:18 GMT7
Now that I'm back home for a spell, I'm getting heavy into wrenching

"hybrid" body that will look externally just like a late WWII Willys
Jeep.

Thanks to Lee and Jeff for the lead on a budget GPS. Microsoft Streets
and Trails with the GPS antenna for $64.95 on Ebay. Within 10 minutes

overdrive unit.  I pulled the transmission (for the sixth time!) to put
it in.

the 47th edition of that drag race.  Oil, mastercylinder, trans.,
radiator, tires, gas tank all full.  I headed off for the 165 mile (one
way) trip at 6am.

Apparently, the insurance company decided that it was cheaper to settle with
the nut then fight it out in court.  So, I'm off the hook so to speak.
Accordingly, my policy will not be affected, but the insurance company did
make a few recommendations to ensure something like this ...

About a month ago a friend of ours was showing off a book he had found.  It
