weird '55 bulb problem14 Mar 2005 02:41 GMT14
Decided to get the '55 electrically better today... got the driver's
side light half fast mounted, and went to put the bulb in... can't do
it!  the socket is expecting a bulb with the pins not indexed, so 1157,
1034, 2057 etc. will not work.

There is a  fully rstorable 1958  Packard  Hawk for sale on eBay in
Germany. According to the seller  "all  parts  there"  Price ( 7.500 ? BIN
= 9.900 USD  for you  USD guys  is  not that  favourable due  to the dollar
value  today.... I do not  know if this is  an original  export ...

Just spent a few minutes looking at the local (SC) all makes car shows this
year.  One thing I am starting to notice is that many of the shows are going
"Pre-1972 Vehicles Only".
What kind of crap is that?  What kind of classic car show is it going to be

Well, the Lark is up on eBay.  Jack Breen stopped by today and took a look
and I'm sure will follow up with his report.

Would the museum be interested in the donation of this car that is in
need of a total restoration? The engine/tranny are MIA, as are some
body parts. The car is largely rust free. Along with the car comes all
the letters, pictures, watch, etc... that the factory gave the original

The So. Ga. Chapter participated in the Hazlehurst, Ga. Chamber of
Commerce's  All-Wheel  Rally and yard sale. Yep, yard sale. The club made
$375. It was their first rally, and they had 28 cars and truck pay to enter.
Generally considered a successful first attempt.

What solvent do you suggest to use to flush thru a PS pump?
 The  front bearing on mine went south and I picked up a
good used pump, but it had some  dirty oil in it and I want
to clean it out.

Dennis has been able to come up with 5 more 1st gear start valve bodies,
$350. May be the last on the planet, he's not sure. If you want one, get

The points look like they need replacing - maay as well do the rotor
and cond. FLAPS (and non-FLAPS) can't supply me with them as they are
not listed as such.
Despite me telling the guy it was a '64, he asked if it was 6 or 12
