64 Hawk Switch Color?07 Mar 2005 03:08 GMT4
I preordered several parts from Studebaker Intl. for York delivery.  I
stupidly did not open the box until I got home and found that the wiper
switch I bought for my '64 Hawk was white instead of black like the one
I have.  I rechecked their catalog and sure enough the number ...

It had links to many main stories, when they were filed, AND also

One could then a variety of viewpoints.

"Rat Rods"  (OT Sorta)07 Mar 2005 01:19 GMT12
It seems that every where you look these days, every stinking rod out there
is a "Rat Rod".  I've come to the conclusion that about 99% of these so
called rodders haven't a clue as to what they're talking about!  The term
does sound cool when trying to fleece big bucks from you and ...

T-cab's new 4v carb06 Mar 2005 19:06 GMT6
Boy, it sure is nice to have a truck that restarts when hot!  I got a new
Edelbrock #1406 on the 289 and that thang leaps out of the garage!
Wierd thing: seems to idle too fast.  I checked and rechecked for vacuum
leaks, and have adjusted the idle screw out to where it's not in ...
How to reduce tapered axle risks with the Avanti06 Mar 2005 18:09 GMT49
Been following the discussions about tapered axles recently, as in the
March Co-Operator and other sources.  Fairly soon we'll be getting into
the Avanti's rear end, since it has some (carrier bearing?) noise, been
ages since anything was lubricated, going through the brakes, etc.  ...

64 VIN ID06 Mar 2005 09:20 GMT2
A friend found a 64, 4 door Stude in a junk yard about 25 miles from me.  He
told me that the inspection sticker had a date of 2001 and the car was in
decent shape with no body damage or rust and appeared to be all intact along
with the interior being in decent shape.  It had ...

It was fun being a baby boomer...till now. Some of the artists of the
'60's are revising their hits with new lyrics to accommodate aging baby
boomers. They include:

'58 Hawk wheel studs05 Mar 2005 21:14 GMT2
I've got a mix of LH and RH wheel studs on the left side of my PH.  I've
decided to go with all RH threads and went to my local NAPA store and
ordered what their catalog showed as the proper wheel stud for many Studes,
including '58s.  There was an interesting spec for the ...
