Heads on Ebay05 Mar 2005 19:28 GMT9
Did anyone see the 529278 flat head 6 cylinder head on Ebay for $200.00?
Man and people were grumbling about paying $30.00 for the ones Dennis lists
on Ebay.

''64 CDR in the rain.05 Mar 2005 19:13 GMT7
Drove in the rain for the first time since naking Commander my DD.
Can't see the turn signal dash light. and can't hear the clicker. Was
there an aftermanket electronic (silent) replacement for it?
IO know that they work as I did a visual check.
It stopped smoking05 Mar 2005 14:13 GMT9
The 50 Commander pretty much quit smoking after a 20 mile, 70 MPH run I
just made. I still have one concern, when revving the engine without a
load, the radiator bubbles over with the cap off although it's not hot.
I normally would suspect a head gasket, but see no signs of that. ...
Quiet in here tonite.05 Mar 2005 05:44 GMT2
Gee,
Not much action in here tonight. I guess a whole bunch of the usual
suspects are at York, chasing bargain stude parts. The rotters. <G>

DWG Vendor Plug (shameless and well deserved)05 Mar 2005 01:21 GMT28
Sent ol' Dave an e-mail a while back about me needing a fresh bottle of DWG
for the upcoming show season (I am down to the last inch in my bottle)
I told Dave I might want to 'try' his special DWG 'ironic' treatment (or
whatever slick marketing name they give it <lol>)
Hub caps05 Mar 2005 01:16 GMT10
While loading for York I noticed the big stack of used hub caps I'd
been trying to sell for the last few years. I recall 20 years ago
selling them like popcorn for ten bucks each, now they sit at the same
price. Back than a less than perfect part was fine for your old beater, ...

Studebakers in Movie04 Mar 2005 14:15 GMT2
Monday my 2 Studebakers were in the movie "Every Word is True". They say
it should be out by late spring or early summer. The whole thing they
filmed on Monday probably won't be over 3 minutes. My Studebakers won't
be but a little of that. Hard to believe, all day for that little ...
