A Testament to Studebaker Engineering, I wish my 2003 PT Cruiser with 5
Speed Manual could get 27 MPG!!! It only gets 26 on highway only
Anyone good at French translation (not OT)?29 Mar 2005 23:01 GMT3
I received the following email from a Studebaker man in France.
Unfortunately, it is in French which I don't read or speak.  I tried several
translation programs, but they didn't make very clear what he wants.  I'm
guessing that he may be talking about the sill plates.  This is ...
OT   WHY???29 Mar 2005 21:55 GMT1
Why is it everytime I dial someone oveses or they call, we
both start yelling, as if it is going to make each of us
understand
what we are saying better.
It's finally drivable!!!!29 Mar 2005 20:40 GMT1
After 3 years of work, my 1949 Commander is drivable, yeah!! I don't
know how many years it's been since this car could propel itself down
the road but it can now. My only concern was the condition of the
overdrive components but to my relief the overdrive relay still works.

Delco distributer29 Mar 2005 19:49 GMT2
I bought a delco distributer the other day. The bushings were good, but the
advance weights are worn oblong and the posts are half eaten through. Is it
rebuildable? Or do I just have pieces? BTW its a 1961.
Thanks
Speedster is due29 Mar 2005 16:30 GMT2
Spent about a half hour on the phone with a nice 'good ole boy'
truck driver that is bringing me Stan's Speedster tomorrow. He detailed
the trip from meeting Stan and his wife to the few hours he spent on the
way talking about the car every time he stopped. Anyone in the ...
Please read if you helped Sasco move!29 Mar 2005 15:46 GMT2
According to Sasco's website they have the quarter panel overlays that I
need for my '57 Clipper wagon, but Dennis hasn't been able to find them,
yet. I know that they were at the old location. Did anyone on the NG help
move them  and do you remember where they went? I know this is ...
What a wife29 Mar 2005 14:39 GMT11
For the last three years our PS pump has been making really
strange noises. By chance
I found a venodr who had one kaying around, and it has
been sitting on my desk now
VW engineering O.T.29 Mar 2005 13:19 GMT6
Marsha's old 1984 VW would not start in wet weather until I'd spray
the coil with WD-40. I just had to drive into her job to spray the coil
on her 1999 VW.  They ought to warn you not to drive in the rain, or
provide a can of VW 40 in the glove box. <g>
Need '49 Commander radiator29 Mar 2005 09:27 GMT5
A friend here in the Puget Sound area needs a decent used radiator for
a '49 Commander. Doesn't have to be a great one, just usable. Anybody
got one for sale?
65 sheet metal and windshield29 Mar 2005 09:20 GMT2
I couldnt find the post from someone about a windshield that they had
for sale.  I can't drive more than two hours at a time so even getting
a windshield from Seattle is a challenge.  I probably will wind up
getting one from SASCO unless I can find another parts vender.
Weekend Follies...Farmboy vs. FLAPS (ot)29 Mar 2005 06:37 GMT12
Interesting....
Emily Skelly told me that it would be tough to get parts today, as it is a
holiday.
I figured at least Pep Boys would be open (Mannie, Moe, and Jack, eh?)
Stude's and Search Engines29 Mar 2005 03:51 GMT1
Doing some truck research and did some search engine searching...
Found this search engine, and liked the way it sorts on the lhs of the
page...
