56 Sky Hawk....Had one way back when, and was just curious as to how many were made, etc. Mine was one owner, 50k miles, 289 4bbl, 3 on the tree w/od, original paint, dual exh., etc. Was a really original car until chrome rims, glasspaks, etc. Didn?t take long to destroy it. (16

| '58 Hawk Battery? | 29 Mar 2005 01:31 GMT | 15 |
Does anyone have the current battery code for '58 Hawk. It's got an Interstate in it right now that seems to fit reasonably well but it's a goner. If I'm going to get a new one, it might as well be the proper one.

Yesterday I worked on fixing a exhaust leak, changed the oil, lubed the front end, installed a heater blower that I got from Ray, replaced the blower switch with a two speed switch and fixed the cigarette lighter socket which hadn't worked since I got the truck. Also installed ...

I'm putting together a '55 C body. Anyone have experience/recommendations for a replacement front seat for this body? I think I would prefer a bench seat, probably split bench, but maybe buckets. I'm not sure what the "from the floor", to the seat dimension shold be, as I don't ...

| Fort Stocton Road Race | 28 Mar 2005 21:55 GMT | 1 |
Just opened up the April 2005 issue of Texas Highways. On page 26 begins a story about the annual Fort Stocton Road Race. At the very beginning there is a picture of a 1951 Stude Champion 4 door in Cop colors. Whose is it? Next page is a pic of my old neighbor and

| R-2 Avanti alternator belt?? | 28 Mar 2005 20:24 GMT | 7 |
The alternator belt on my (sold) '64 R-2 Avanti is too long. I can't fasten both mounting bolts on the bracket (one has to hand out in space). I looked up the belt interchange in Bob Johnstone's site, got a Gates number 7440. I went to my FLAPS and asked for a Gates 7440 which ...

| Living will (My Bad) O.T. | 28 Mar 2005 20:19 GMT | 34 |
OK, it appears I've been blaming evangelical Christians or even conservatives for pushing the politicians when in fact the polling shows it appears to be unpopular with them too. Perhaps the politicians on both sides misjudged the appeal this issue would have with the public.

| 65 Brake Parts availabilty | 28 Mar 2005 15:12 GMT | 4 |
I met a guy in the next town who bought a project 65 Cruiser and recently had it towed to his house. It has some fixable rust problems but is a fairly solid car. It had been sitting in an open car port for a few years. It looks like when the tow guy put it on

| Hi Backs for Lark-types | 28 Mar 2005 12:09 GMT | 5 |
Marilyn had a neck operation a few months ago and I'd like to put some hi-back seats in my '64 Commander. Any suggestions involving only drilling four or less holes in doner seat frame to fit on present base?
