| How to use Chinese tools | 20 Apr 2005 04:14 GMT | 13 |
I'm using air tools 8 hours a day, day after day doing the paint on the wrapper. I drove up to the Harbor Freight store and bought a $24.95 air file, a $19.95 D-A and a $19.95 spray gun. (For primer) I figure if I burn them up, I'll just swap for new ones under the 90 day ...

| 58 Hardtop, coming soon. S/P | 20 Apr 2005 03:55 GMT | 1 |
I figured I'd better start generating some interest on this one a bit early based on what he has in the car. <g> Pix to follow in a few days. Jim's other cars were very, very nice, so I expect this one will be too.

| old Hawk gas tank | 20 Apr 2005 01:03 GMT | 5 |
I still have the old gas tank out of my 56 Hawk. It has some pin hole leaks and is pretty cruddy inside, but could probably be fixed up. Is there a market for these or should I junk it?

| I hate Body work | 19 Apr 2005 19:53 GMT | 22 |
I'm getting better at it though. <g> I figured I'd save to 3-4 K to strip and paint the green wrapper and I'm getting the hang of it. The key seems to be patience, I've spent maybe 6 hours on the dent lid. It seems even a straight car that's never been painted still needs lot ...

| Do You Want To Know For Sure That You Are Going To Heaven? The reason some people don't know for sure if they are going to Heaven when they die is because they just don't know. | My dumb trick for the weekend (somewhat OT) | 19 Apr 2005 13:50 GMT | 2 |
Saturday I noted that my Gravely tractor was leaking oil pretty badly at the oil filter (Kohler twin). I tried tightening it a little and made it worse, so I decided to go ahead and change the oil and filter even though it only had 20 hours since the previous change. The filter ...

| Were there separate upholstery catalogs for Studebaker? | 18 Apr 2005 23:54 GMT | 2 |
One of my M-truck friends asked me where the firewall insulator pad was listed in the parts catalog, so that we could check part numbers, mounting hardware, etc. I couldn't find it in the parts book, not listed, no drawing. This is a heavy cardboard pad that goes inside the cab ...
