Pics  of  my  1958 GH  + few  questions ... (somewhat long...)15 Apr 2005 05:10 GMT4
I just  thought  that I would share some  pics of  my most recent adoption.

driver-owner  1958-1972  and  when  he  passed  away  the  car  was sold
to a collector  and then there was  one  owner  starting the  ...

289 Exhaust manifold stud repair15 Apr 2005 05:04 GMT5
The po used both 3/8" and 7/16" bolts for attaching the exhaust pipe to
the manifold.  It looks like I have to go with 7/16" Helicoil to repair
the thread as the Helicoil major diameter for the 3/8" kit is ~.490 and
the 7/16" bolt measures .520.  I'm losing .030 right there.  Is ...
1966 Commander FS15 Apr 2005 04:33 GMT5
I will be selling my '66 Commander. I drove it everyday for almost 3
years. It is showing it's age now and needs a few things but I am moving
to the Philippines and can't fix it up or take it with me. I will be
taking pictures this weekend. It is a 6 with st/w OD. Wouldn't take a ...
semi-useless fact of the day.15 Apr 2005 03:22 GMT1
A group 86 battery fits right in a 6V battery box, has the posts in the
"right" place, and is if anything a little shorter than the stock 6V
battery.  Only a couple less CCAs than the Group 24.  Only useful I
guess if you drive a pre-56 car that's been converted to 12V.

Lucky N814 Apr 2005 22:58 GMT4
Sal stopped by Stan's to pick up two parts for Stan's 2R and Stan loaded
him up with extra Speedster parts, including a left and right decent
pair or side grills. It's damn near a truck load of extra stuff so N8
gets a free Karma grill courtesy of Stan. I'll even pay the shipping ...
