OT- lost faith in Turbotax04 Apr 2005 23:27 GMT2
I was finishing up both my federal and state taxes using Turbotax.  When I
completed the state part it had me paying over $600 plus penalties even
though I had made estimated payments per the vouchers printed from 2003
Turbotax.  I went ahead and printed the forms (I can't tell ...

Best Way to Fix Damaged Door Hinge Mounting Holes?04 Apr 2005 20:40 GMT6
Anyone know the best way to fix door hinge mounting holes? I had a few

enough meat left to get them out and I tried drilling and retapping
them but I failed. How do repair these? Doesn't seem to be much access

coupe window issue...04 Apr 2005 15:41 GMT17
This one's got me scratching my head.  Decided to get the driver's side
window working on the '55 coupe today as even just moving it around or
taking a quick test spin it's nice to roll the window down, and what's
worse, it didn't roll all the way up.  Well I took the door panel ...
Anyone good at French translation (not OT)?04 Apr 2005 14:28 GMT18
I received the following email from a Studebaker man in France.
Unfortunately, it is in French which I don't read or speak.  I tried several
translation programs, but they didn't make very clear what he wants.  I'm
guessing that he may be talking about the sill plates.  This is ...

Sunday Follies04 Apr 2005 01:59 GMT11
Got up early today and hustled out into the shop.
Spent all morning making cast iron chips.
Interesting to see the varieties of the quality of cast iron in Stude intake
manifolds.
Pink GT04 Apr 2005 00:32 GMT1
A customer and friend just bought the Rose Mist GT from Tennessee that was
on ebay.  Anyone know anything about this car?  Went kind of cheap; the
guy says all kinds of things have been recently done on it.  Price reflect
color?

Checking a JY brake booster03 Apr 2005 23:46 GMT2
Finally had a free sat yesterday and made it out to the 'yard I spotted
the '62 lark with PB that I found last summer.  Intent was to get the
booster and brackets, which I did.  The unit looks "OK" on the outside,
some surface rust.  I can wiggle the plunger rods on the in and out
Master clkinder needed03 Apr 2005 22:32 GMT10
1964 CDR: 6 Cylinder, 3 spd, drum brakes, not power brakes.
The brake pedal used to be high, even when brakes were fully on.
Now, with greater frequency, it is going down about halfway, like only
one system is being pressurized.
