Somewhat OT- Jeep Commander02 Apr 2005 21:17 GMT2
While waiting at the optometrist office the other day I picked up a Motor
Trend.  In it was a section called "Future Shock" where they profiles
vehicles to be introduced in the next year or two.  One clip was about the
2006 Jeep Commander, the seven-passenger version of the Grand ...

Stripping a 63 Lark02 Apr 2005 20:46 GMT8
I have just completed "unhooking" a Lark body from its frame.
I was amazed at how little holds the frame and body together, and how well
it does it.
What a dichotomy!!!

1932 commander ambulance02 Apr 2005 18:08 GMT3
Found in "other makes" on e-bay. Kind of cool, although a basket case.
Bigger project than I need right now, and seems a bit pricy, but maybe not.

But it occured to me that if I was new to E-Bay and was reading these boards
cheap tools - not really OT - and a tip02 Apr 2005 07:01 GMT3
Just demonstrated once again that sometimes you really do get what you
pay for...  went to the store the other night to pick up some supplies
for restoring a steering wheel...  PC-7, the cheapest screwdriver I
could possibly find, a hacksaw blade (to open up the cracks) and a ...

Lurker question02 Apr 2005 05:03 GMT37
OK, more than a few of you have spoken up, now a question. From what
I've seen, you all have some Studebaker info to share, why not chime in
now and then. Better a kinda lame Studebaker post about painting your
fan then us getting bored and posting O.T. about our favorite ...

Any one need a convertible top?02 Apr 2005 00:19 GMT2
I bought a new top from JP for Boomerang, our '62 Daytona. To me,
camel color, buckskin  and saddle are all tan ( I'm a city slicker and
never had a camel, a saddle or any buckskin) so I ordered tan.
Well, tan to the top manufacturer is what I call beige. It looks good
New Bugsport02 Apr 2005 00:11 GMT1
The new Bugsport is up and again a Stude UFO featured.  From the looks of
it, our hero may need practice using the clutch just a little more.  Here's
a link: http://notweird.com/bugsport/

sometimes I step in schitt and come out smelling like a rose01 Apr 2005 21:43 GMT18
I had a nice chat with the fellow who I am buying the Packard from, it
seems the car was in a frame-off restoration process and had to be
hurried together to be stored because of business obligations.  This
was 20+ years ago, also he is including a vast pile of spare parts.
Pertronix Thanks01 Apr 2005 21:16 GMT2
I want to thank everybody for there information on the Pertronix. My
big concern was a 81 year old man pulled in my drive way with a 59 Lark
with the kit in his hand and wanted me to install it. He also didn`t
