Man, Teranews is as spastic a newsgroup provider as I have ever seen.. One day it works great, the next it doesn't work at all... What a waste of four bucks....

| 1966 Excalibur | 30 May 2005 18:07 GMT | 5 |
I think somebody stole this aluminum bodied Excalibur. It has a Studebaker frame and also notice Brook Stevens used GT Hawk style Stewart Warner gauges. Would love to put an R3 setup in one of these with the Studebaker S hood ornament on the grill shell!!

Too bad, would have liked to see what this one was really going to bring on auction: "The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price".

Well, a couple of days ago, I broke down and replaced the non-functioning brake light switch on my T-Cab and it worked fine. Then, on the way home, I noticed that the brakes were not working correctly and no brake lights. Got home, raised the hood and the front

We had a great turnout for our meet at Weldon and Margaret Critcher's Reception Hall "Mutton Crossing". Our hosts provided a fantastic meal. We had 25 Studebakers make the drive up into the NC Mountains. Only a few drove Brand X's. Some new cars showed up that I haven't seen in

| lacquer paint | 29 May 2005 19:43 GMT | 5 |
OK, you guys were right about lacquer paint. It seems the new stuff is nothing like what I used years ago.(Damn EPA) The stuff is more like enamel that dries faster than lacquer. It'll run and hand hang curtains better than enamel. The stuff is only thinned 4 to 1 and It's been a ...

| 245.6 "Commander" Six HD | 29 May 2005 16:07 GMT | 2 |
So, Grandad's er my 3R6 truck has a 246 with an HD plate riveted on the driver side, BUT, it does not have rotocaps installed. Was this a goof on the part of Sears when they rebuilt the engine in 1967? Or did the HD 246s not include rotocaps?

| Fun Survey: Limited-Slip Names? | 29 May 2005 08:04 GMT | 4 |
Jeff Rice just sent around an article lamenting the demise of creative names in automotive advertising, an article similar to the one in a recent Hemmings Classic Car. "Panoramic" windshields, "Weather-Eye" heaters, "Fireball Eight" engines, etc.
