Hello All!01 Jul 2005 00:59 GMT27
My name is Matthew Burnette, I am 15 years old, and I own two
Studebakers; a 63 Daytona HT, and a 52 Commander Starliner. Some of you
may know my Grandad, Neil Thornton, whose Studee collection consists of
about 50 Studes, restored and unrstored. I am new to the whole
How does this happen30 Jun 2005 23:41 GMT10
This car (at least by all outward appearances) is a 64.  How do these end up

What is a HOTROD RATROD?30 Jun 2005 20:06 GMT12
I have seen it SOOO many times.  I know in theory what a HOTROD is but
RATROD....?  I know what a Chevy RAT motor is (compared to a MOUSE motor)
Are you supposed to put ONLY a RAT motor into it?  Did the RATS eat it up?
Do RATS come with it?  What the heck IS IT?
Lark transmission quandry30 Jun 2005 18:26 GMT13
I'm not sure which way to go with a problem I'm having with my 60 Lark
VIII....maybe the experts here can shed a little light on what would be
the best (and cheapest since I'm a cheap SOB) way to go.
The problem I have with my automatic is that it works fine once it's

Finally got tired of seeing the overhauled 6.2 Diesel engine for my #2
Suburban sitting on the engine stand, wasting space in my shop. So I
got busy on the weekend and went to work to install it in the vehicle.
Became something of a jigsaw puzzle, being as it had been over 2 years
Diesel truck deal30 Jun 2005 02:46 GMT8

CHECK YOUR SHOPS AND BUILDINGS!!!!!!!!!!30 Jun 2005 02:17 GMT18
Just got home a bit ago from my sister's place where I witnessed a
true 5-alarm fire.  Apparently, it started in the barn and quickly and
totally engulfed that building then jumped the 30 feet to their custom
cabinet building shop and destroyed that 2-story building along with

59 Scotsman30 Jun 2005 00:30 GMT1
Hey everyone, guess what happened. My Granddad, Neil Thornton,
accidentally backed a 2-ton flatbed into the hood of one of our three
59 Scotsman pickups. Where can I find a new hood?
One of the trucks is used as a work-horse around here, another one  is

I have got most of the stuff to install an AC unit on my '64 Hawk,
however I still need an idler pulley and water pump pulley. Has anyone
got these?? FWIW, Vintage Air does sell the main mounting bracket for
the Sanden compressor to a Stude V8!
