I bought an edelbrock 1406 for my '63 Hawk Jet-Thrust and after
installing it, the engine runs fine when at idle but misses like crazy
when driven. (the idle, however, is too high even with the linkage idle
screw backed all the way out). I have taken it to a couple of mechanics

After mucking out the '58 Silver Hawk (two large barrels of assorted
rat urine, rat feces, and cactus spines...the worst I have ever seen)
The floor is porous in two place where the rats nests have soaked the
metal with a water/urine mix for days on end. One fist size hole right
