I've just returned from Spokane, being there since Tuesday evening.
This is my first International SDC meet and thought I'd give a few
impressions.  It was great getting to meet newsgroup folks, seeing some
incredible cars, learning a whole lot about Studebaker history and

They just showed a Charger commercial, the one with the kids on bikes.
The more I looked at the rear end the more it looked like a Maverick

staring to think of putting a/c in the hawk. I've seen Ray's info on the
nc page.  from the parts catalog, it appears the hawk and lark evap
units aren't the same. As I'm looking to put a/c in an R2 hawk, it won't
be original anyway ( any suggestions for a bracket besides diy?). ...

Rick Courtier came up for another fun filled weekend of working on Lloyd's
Transtar.
Rick has been ordering parts all week and boxes are still arriving.
We had an upper management planning session at a remote offsite location

I received my new (to me) 289 & Auto Trans tonight via JeffEX. It is now
safely crammed in the garage, because the new Garage Majal, isn't finished
yet. We spent a nice evening just chillin and talking Studes. This kind of
stuff is one of the best things about this group of ...

it is convention  to have the primary (forward ) brake shoe to be the shorter
lining shoe.
On the 1939 President the brake cylinder has a 1 3/8" bore forward and a 1" bore
to the rear for the front wheels.
