| Price of Gas and Driving Habits--OT | 20 Aug 2005 22:04 GMT | 8 |
Just curious as it seems that people are still driving fast and over the speed limit. Has the price of gas changed your driving habits? I still drive my Studebaker at the speed limit and don't try to run any lights ( more as self preservation than gas). I only drive 4 miles to

Well more Studes appearing every day. More newsgroup members coming in. I'm probably missing quite a few of them. Went to a couple Classic car dealers today. One was a Hudson-Studebaker dealer at one time.

Having a ball with the 62, it's one of those cars that really wants to be good. Initial driving impressions (aside from the shaky front end and awful brakes) were that it was tired, very slow acceleration. Now I'm thinking rear end, there's no tag on the pumpkin but I suspect ...

I was on my way to work this morning, driving down I-40, 70 Mph, AC on, just cruising along when the engine just quit without warning. No coughs, no sputters, just stopped. Got the car safely pulled off of the highway, and of course it wouldn't

| The search begins | 20 Aug 2005 03:06 GMT | 2 |
Well, I have said that I would not be looking for another car for at least a year, and that time is up. Since the search for my last one took a couple years, I figure this next one will probably take about the same, but maybe I will get lucky. Here goes... 50 or 51 Commander
