E85 Fuel for a Studebaker?18 Aug 2005 15:56 GMT14
Has anybody heard of E85 as an alternative fuel for gasoline?  I just read a
news story about it on WNDU's website.  In Indiana its $2.09 a gallon.  The
E85 website is at http://www.e85fuel.com/index.php.  According to the
website it is rated at 105 octane.  The vehicle that uses ...
Avanti Electrical Problems Again18 Aug 2005 05:16 GMT7
I got the engine back in the Avanti, and the battery mounted in the
trunk.  I have gone over all the wiring and replaced the bad ones.  But
now the car won't start.  The starter solenoid is new, and the starter
worked prefectly before I tore down the engine.  What gives?
Rain at Bonneville Salt 2 Salt incomplete run18 Aug 2005 04:42 GMT2
So much rain yesterday that the long course was shut down all day. Salt
2 Salt ran but turned out - incomplete run w/no time. Course was very
bumby and slick according to reports I received. Rumors are that the
rest of the week may be called off. We'll have to wait and see.

do I hear $4.00 a gallon by Christmas???18 Aug 2005 02:22 GMT23
Anyone taking bets it will be $4.00 a gallon by Christmas??
I curtailed a great deal of driving last weekend, because of the cost.
We'll be paying as much as the Europeans do. They, the Europeans, should
love that.

odd suspension problem17 Aug 2005 17:01 GMT15
Finished up the suspension rebuild on the '55 today - installed a new
lower trunion on the pass. side, and all new rubber bushings (left the
upper trunion alone as it felt tight and worked freely.)  Put everything
together, dropped it on the ground, and the passenger side ...
Studes in the movies17 Aug 2005 16:22 GMT2
Watching James Bond - Diamonds are Forever.  Just showed a car chase
through a used car lot. Noticed 2 Larks on the lot.  Haven't seen any
Stude on the street yet.
I'll keep looking for more - parked, driving, or for sale.
