Avanti Pace Car13 Aug 2005 06:17 GMT4
After all the flack Don Ward got for listing his dad's Avanti as a
"Indy Pace car", I did some digging. Thanks to George Krem for providing
a June 62 Studebaker Spotlight that clears up the mystery. I had heard
that the Avanti was to be the Pace car, but was not used because ...

Gotta love it..13 Aug 2005 01:25 GMT1
Had some free time and decided to replace the cowl vent gasket on my 38.
Previous owners had used various things packed in there in an attempt to
keep the water out.  At one time someone used some kind of putty all
around it keeping it shut.  It still leaked real bad.  I expected ...

Blower Stude Aftermarket Cruise Control12 Aug 2005 14:28 GMT2
Has anyone put an aftermarket cruise control on a blown Stude engine.  I
think it should work OK because the pressure only goes positive when
you put your foot in it and then you're not using cruise anyway.  If
anyone has done this, what brand have you used, the only one I see ...
Champs [T-cab] shock absorbers12 Aug 2005 14:03 GMT4
I am planning to replace the front shock absorbers on my 1962 7E7. My
local FLAPS [Carquest] does not have a listing so I looked in the
archives of the news group and found a Jeff Dewitt query on the same
subject from last summer. It mentioned Gabriel p/n 81147 as an

60 Lark in one of the scenes - supposedly somewhere in Kentucky, the
feds passed in front of it in a white T-bird.
