We went out Saturday to go get a 62 Lark my grandad won on ebay. the
car is a base model six cylinder four door sedan. We got it to the shop
and finally got her to run. She has new exhaust with some sort of glass
pack for a muffler. Sounds GREAT! The dash as well as the door panels
Mo' Money29 Aug 2005 03:47 GMT3
Gas prices are way up and my property taxes are going up.  My house
insurance just doubled because a lot of fools here in Florida build
rickety junk on or close to the water and regularly get blown away.  My
utility bills keep creeping up.  What to do?  Pass it on,

Great Meet29 Aug 2005 00:17 GMT3
Left Spokane Sunday morning on the way to Yakima to visit family.  I
had a great time at the meet, got to meet a lot of folks from the NG
and saw other folks I'd met at the zone meet in WI last year as well.
Except for the rain wednesday, the weather was great.  The driving tour

Project "x".28 Aug 2005 18:48 GMT2
Ok, I have a good frame from a 63 Lark, a good 259 engine, a T85 tranny with
overdrive, and a 3.31 axle assembly.
Now I need a body and interior. Just off any Stude.. We'll make it all play
together.

'67 Avanti (Stude) Fuel Tank28 Aug 2005 17:37 GMT3
Just got done pulling the fuel tank from my Avanti.  What a fun job removing
redone interior.  Stinky old fuel/crap in tank from storage clogged up
rebuilt carb.  For some reason, tank did not get pulled and cleaned even
though all knew that the car had sat for 30 years.  Got ...
Stainless trim.28 Aug 2005 16:38 GMT2
Anybody out there know what a rear quarter trim peice for a finless C-K
is worth? This is that long peice that goes the full legth of the
quarter panel. I found one in some of our parts stuff looking for some
Lark trim. Also found a few pieces of the "Butter knife" trim for the

Has anybody ever put a 63/64 body on an unmodified Avanti II frame? I
just bought a beautifuuly restored 81 Avanti II chassis, and the frame
appears identical my old 63, with the exception of the body mounts on
the firewall and the middle three outriggers, all of which are about

Radiators: Help Wanted28 Aug 2005 11:44 GMT2
It's been posted before about what radiator recoring costs in varous
parts of the country. Some quotes were $100 cheaper than I can have done
locally. (and I wasn't happy with the last one- he crunched the top tank
to get the sides to fit)
station wagon hinge28 Aug 2005 02:39 GMT7
I need a driver's side upper tailgate hinge for my '56 Champion Pelham
wagon.  It's part number 305163.  Seems as if someone would have one of
these on a shelf or in a back yard, but maybe I'm dreaming.  Thought I
could find one at Spokane, but there wasn't a single '56, '57 or ...
