TV and Car Shows (ot)26 Aug 2005 03:15 GMT5
Seems the good shows are getting better (Rides),
and the turds are sinking to the bottom (Texas Hardtails).
I can't even watch the commercial teasers for some of them, let alone the
shows themselves...
How can this be?26 Aug 2005 00:21 GMT9
I'm a little confused...how can they be having the South Central Zone

very next weekend in Memphis?

The scientists said they were able to show in their early research that the
fused cell "was reprogrammed to its embryonic state." Such a breakthrough co
uld have the effect of taming a biting national debate about the ethics of s
tem-cell research, but not any time soon.

Must be worth it, it's one of only 350 Studebaker pickups ever
built. <g>

61 Hawk at Sal's.25 Aug 2005 19:34 GMT8
The 61 'gamble' Hawk I offered to the NG arrived at Sal's for brakes
and detailing. Found out is has a rebuilt engine and some nice spare
parts in the trunk, no cream puff, but damn cheap for a finned Hawk.

HOT WHEELS STUDEBAKER25 Aug 2005 17:36 GMT4
Ran out of dog food for the morning, jumped into the HFH and went up
to the new refurbished supermarket. I had not been in there since thye
ffinished cinstruction. For the life of me I could not find where the
animal food was.  Right in front of me is a very small Hot Wheels
Block cleaning25 Aug 2005 15:44 GMT9
I have to wonder why Studebaker could not have spent a few minutes
getting the sand out of the V8 blocks in production. I cleaned out
another one today, and as usual, it was loaded with sand.

DUH?25 Aug 2005 15:37 GMT3
I have to wonder about people, sometimes?  $128,000.00 invested.  But, I'll
take $95,000.00 if you'd care to BIN.  Gee, I wish I could do that to my
Packard Hawk.  Think maybe I could spend that much and get $95K for it?  I
think I'd rather hammer a rusty nail into my right ...

Engines25 Aug 2005 13:40 GMT13
I decided to organize some of my cast iron laying around the garage.
I built a R2 (not shown in the pix) and ran it in on the test stand,
then I built a R1 out of parts laying around. I also put the Jet City
cam engine on a stand and parked them all next to the Nemish R2. Now ...

Drove my Studebaker to work today25 Aug 2005 03:43 GMT5
screw the gas prices, and the $3.03 a gallon ( R2 hawk - needs 91
octane). It was time to drive the car to work. Felt real good! Probably
going to do the same with the Avanti tomorrow. Who knows, the next time
I have to fill up, 3 bucks might be a bargain...

malfunction" that could have had "consequences on the physical situation of
the passengers and crew."

New oil activity? <sort of OT>25 Aug 2005 00:09 GMT13
With oil prices this high are any of you guys in oil country seeing any
increase in activity?  I seem to recall that a lot of US oil wasn't
worth the expense to drill and pump it as cheap as oil was a few years
ago but obviously things have changed now.
