If you receive an email entitled "Bedtimes" delete it IMMEDIATELY. Do not open it. Apparently this one is pretty nasty. It will not only erase everything on your hard drive, but it will also delete anything on disks within 20 feet of your computer. It demagnetizes the stripes ...

| A match for the Plain Brown Wrapper? [OT] | 24 Aug 2005 13:43 GMT | 7 |
Went to a local cruise night with some other Stude guys. We had my '48 M5 truck, an Avanti II, a '64 Hawk, and a '60 Lark to mix with the 200 other cars. There was everything there from a 1930's Lagonda boat-tail speedster to classic '34 Ford 5-window rods from the '50s to last ...

| Spokane Final thoughts | 24 Aug 2005 13:32 GMT | 13 |
I'm back home now. Six days in Spokane is long enough, but you wish it would never end. Although I didn't have the Hawk there, I had a great time. I've been from coast to coast on these things and love to meet all the different members you would otherwise never meet.

| No oil pressure | 24 Aug 2005 12:39 GMT | 8 |
I have been trying to crank the newly refreshed 169 over and can't get any oil pressure. According to the shop manual I should have primed the pump first. This is the problem. The pump has no external plug or hose to remove and hence prime. Even having the engine kick over and ...

Has anyone published a list giving the names and locations/addresses of Studebaker dealers that existed over the years? Currently, I'm looking for any information about the dealer that handled my '63 Wagonaire. I think it was Dietz or Deetz Motors in Edgartown, Mass. on

| Restored Avanti frame on eBay | 24 Aug 2005 05:11 GMT | 2 |
A friend of mine here in St. Louis has put their perfectly restored 1981 Avanti frame on ebay for auction. They recently finished restoring a beautiful, show quality 63 R2 Avanti, and don't have the time to finish this second frame into a running car.

Nice article comparing a '63 injected Vette and a '64 R2 Avanti. Pictures show why it is always a good idea to dress up when a camera is out <seg>.. Jeff (read in a grocery store in Charlotte..) Rice

| Big improvement | 24 Aug 2005 02:14 GMT | 5 |
What started out as a broken throttle spring, got me fixing the linkage and actually sitting down with the manual and trying a bit of tweaking on the Stromberg WW on my Hawk. The difference is amazing. I think alot of it had to do with just the idel speed being to low, since I

| Strange piece of metal | 23 Aug 2005 22:38 GMT | 5 |
While working on a GT Hawk today I found a weird piece of metal stuck inside the water manifold. About a half inch and kind of double pyramid shaped. Obviously been there a while. Anyone know what the heck it is/was?

| Never too old to be a retard | 23 Aug 2005 21:42 GMT | 5 |
Ever dig for a suspected problem and wind up down the wrong hole? <G> When we got to Spokane, I had to replace a blown 'plastic' exhaust manifold gasket on the Champion with a steel one. Things got loud on the way there.
